2.2 Gear sets

Am I the only one that noticed the new gear sets in 2.2 are reused gear sets already in the game with different color pallets?

I think there's quite a few people that liked the models of the level 15 and 32 dungeon gear. Rather than having to go gather it all (and having it undyeable) they're giving crafters the ability to craft it and people can make it whatever color they'd like.

True, but that's just the crafted gear. The new Gerault Masterworks gear and the new Allagan gear is all brand new

Yep, I instantly saw in the video a white mage wearing the new white mage gear dyed a purple/pink color.

Oh that was crafted gear? it was mixed in with the section under new gear so I assumed it wasn't crafted gear because to be honest I wasn't expecting them to add recipes that ppl actually wanted.

I've noticed this as well, and I really hope they retroactively implement the dye-ability to the older Allagan, mythology tomestone, and Darklight gear (at the very least). @.@

Coliseum gear will become dyeable, I don't see why any of the other items won't.

We've been long overdue for a dye lock removal.

Yeah, the Acolyte, Battlemage, Foestriker's etc. looking gear is the new crafted gear. The new Masterworks gear is purchased through the new tomes, and the new Allagan gear is found in the new Coil. So, we're really getting three new, separate types of gear.
