[Fun] Why do you use a male character?

Because Im a guy? Now why am I a human its because I don't have imagination or the guts to roll anything else.

Because as much as playing female characters is great in single-player games, here it just means that somewhere, eventually, you'll get hit on.

Pretty much, when ever I play two player games with my cousins or nephews they always say "Im not the girl", Im like "cool with me, the females always have better moves anyways and look better doing them"

I just might flip if some dude was to hit on me in this game.

I'm simply used to playing a male in most mmos, due to the costumes being sometimes too strippy for females and unwanted attention from boys.
I guess when I play RP scenarios in my head, I think myself as a guy more then as a girl.

The only time I tolerated it was with one game that had a marriage system in place with a lot of perks for couples (bonus experience, free teleports, special buffs, etc). Leveling was so painful since the only way was grinding that people would jump on any bonus they could get. I played a female priestess and had heaps of guys trying to marry me. While it was awkward as always, they'd randomly give me free crap (even rare items) to try to win me over. I made a lot of money with that char xD.

In MMOs (or RPGs in general) I tend to play female characters. I rarely have my characters hit on (not that I go seeking that out anyway). I have only had unwanted advances made towards me on a female character (or any character for that matter) once, and that was on a female Draenei Paladin on Moon Guard. But that was Moon Guard so that doesn't count.

Not really. I managed to not ever get seriously hit on since I started playing, 7 months ago. I play every single day. Many hours a day.

I'll add that I also played a crap ton of MMOs, for at least 6 months consecutively on each. And I've not been hit on on any of them either.

I have a troll repellent. It's called being choosy about who you play with. And your harassers are trolls.

Me, I am male and ever since VOIP became mainstream for MMO raiding, I stick with male alts (unless I decide to start using voice-altering programs for raid chat!) because I need the immersion, the role-play, of an RPG - and few things are as disappointing and off-putting as the first time you find out that ADORABLE femq'ote in your raid group, has a voice like James Earl Jones

I love the RP part of this game, have only ever RPed as male characters, and seriously... how could I NOT love him? <3
