Yet it works for Leves, and in 1.0 you could do leves as a party even. Mobs are locked to the ppl that initiate it. PVE works just fine in any MMO as long as it is properly implemented. Same for PVP. Regardless of instance or open world.Open world content for PVE doesn't work because groups of players will camp the zones and block out all other players which will cause massive amount of players to quit. If they are going to do open world content it has to be a territorial PvP continent with zones that players can fight over and control. PVE content should never be open world.
I didn't read through all the posts so I'm not sure if was mentioned.
Having switched from a highly populated Legacy Server it was a surprise to the high que times for DF on other worlds.
Maybe it would be good to increase the number of worlds linked through DF. Especially among low population servers.
Wut? Aren't they all connected? Legacy is a perk after all.I didn't read through all the posts so I'm not sure if was mentioned.

Not all worlds are connected. Duty Finder is segregated by Data cluster - e.g Chaos, Primal, etc.
Worlds are grouped.
Ragnarok players will, for example, never interact with anyone from the Excalibur server because they're not in the same grouping.
Legacy Campaign and Legacy status are a reduced subscription and vanity item, but Legacy Servers contain characters with data transferred from 1.0 - recently they removed the server transfer restrictions allowing people that transferred 1.0 to enter the new servers (those that launched with ARR).
Duty Finder being slow or fast is dependent upon peak hours. If the majority of your server is NA and EST you'll likely see people on during a certain time frame - this extends to their PF/DF activity. If you are NA but playing in a EU designation (Chaos World Group, Ragnarok etc.) you will notice that the population and peak hours are going to be at more problematic times for you - this would also be apparent when using the Duty Roulette or Duty Finder.
Or they are rich as fuck. Invalidates your whole argument.Sure, and crafted stuff comes from....?
While not stated, it can be easily assumed to be mythology.
Lets assume they run the same way ilvl70 crafted gear works.
Meaning that each piece will require at the minimum 9 ToM items. Meaning 1125 mythologies for one piece, compared to 825, 495 or 375.
I really doubt more than 5% of the playerbase will have more than 3 jobs ilvl90ed out, and that's being generous.
This forum is no where near to being an accurate depiction of what the playerbase thinks.
Tough fights in the open world should be implemented by using pop items or systems like leves. But some people are only happy with systems where they can waste someone elses time.

I agree with this thread. A lot of the things he wrote about will help the games future out. People have the right to complain about things they want to be fixed. I don't care if it bugs the Producer of the game. Everyone has to Pay almost 15 dollars a month to play this game, so I have no sympathy for him. If he wants his game to last he has to fix the things that bug most of the players. Even if the producer is a nice guy. We still are paying to play the game, so we are entitled to make suggestions that will help the game out in the long run. That is how it is.
But what happens when those "fixes" make other players unhappy? Because that's the real issue with most of the complaint topics here, they assume that their suggestions will make everyone happy, even when some of those suggestions are really bad.I agree with this thread.
