Diabolos confirmed and possible new race (with long sloppy ears) for first expansion?

New race =/= Playable race, if people are getting their hopes up. Probably like the horned people in Gridania.

Padjal is not a race per se, but a status some Hyur individuals get when they receive the blessings of the forest. They get horns sprouting from their heads once the elementals touch them, but they keep being Hyurans. That's the main reason (lore-wise) of not having Padjal as playable 'race'.
About Yugiri, Viera-like race and new playable/non-playable race... only time will tell

One of those boss monsters in the video i think it may have been Halitali or the Coil 2 bit looked remarkably like the Catoblepas esper from Final Fantasy 6... Oh and the end boss in Coil 2 looks like it could be Omega weapon

It's called the Avatar, a type of Treant. Omega won't appear until they bring about Shinryu if they truly want to keep the FF feel and lore intact. (Omega was designed to seek out Shinryu, whether he existed or not in the game physically, that's always been his lore but almost every remake and later FF games introduced Shinryu either originally or in a remake.)

Pitty Diabolos got stuck in 4 man content though. Ruminious Omen would be fun in a 24 man type setup.

Love the Diabolos boss thing ... one of my favorite summons of all time. He casts Demi right? Regardless, looks like theyre taking the animation from FFVIII which is, again, the best one. Hopefully those who get hit by it get squashed as well. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AWPTgJ7Vuow

As for the new race; like I said in another thread, if thats a Viera, its not a very good job of hinting at it or they just halfassed the concept. Bunny ears dont need to be fitted in a hood and can easily be folded into it. Whatever is protruding out of that characters head is solid, as in horns most likely.

Maybe she's some kind of goblin-hyur hybrid, and their creation myth amounts to the romance-novelesque diary of a female goblin slum lord who accepted alternate forms of payment from oiled, chiseled hyur men who couldn't make their rent immediately after the fall of Allag.

Kinda agree, he was one of those iconic bosses in XI. There is always hard-mode though, and from I've been readong, some of the other iconic FF bosses will be brought back in CT which is something to "please look forward to it" xD

They might add special (hard mode) trials for these bosses like Diablos and Siren.
It happened with Ultima Weapon, so why not for them?

Yes but ultima weapon WAS an 8 man dungeon to begin with. Even if there is a hard mode (dungeon HM) it will probably be stuck with a 4 man party again =\
