I think people would do it if there were some reward to it, but there isn't.

I'd love to see challenging and meaningful light dungeons but they should provide some tangible reward. Crafting materials, vanity items and creatures, materia (and put materia slots on all items, please...) etc. We desperately need content that can go into the weekly routine, especially with the WoW-style lock outs and point caps being put onto FFXI style multi-class characters, there's very little to do in a given week.

In general dungeons are being squandered by the development team, it's just becoming this waste of development time. Naoki Yoshida is supposedly some big MMO vet but you'd never really know it because these are all hurdles that were solved by other games eons ago.

i had the same , if u look at the dungeons Pharos is kinda big jump for others also mentally i think ppl got used to easy stuff ;p specially if the dungeons has no Hard written next to it compared to Pharos , Pharos is harder than the rest xD .

For me the dungeon was ok not hard , just need more practice , teach u kiting , reaction and not wasting time

    What is this ifrit HM?
I never rely on the tanks to stun/ interrupt for their life and the parties.
Tho it is more than welcome i'll just suggest it but will not bet on it following thru.
A huge pain is only a little pinch to healers who are used to carrying / willing to carry.
The only pain is when they fail the instance / dungeon.

It's disappointing that people bail on this since it is one of the funnest instances in the game. You actually need to deal with mechanics and trying to zerg through just makes it more difficult. I hope the new ones follow this model.

If they follow the same model like PS, and I hope they do, then the lamers will leave that dungeon when the mechanics are too are for them to faceroll. Those fools should just go away with that thinking.

I hope its not nerfed, but its pretty easy to get the boss down if you stun lunatic voice the majority of the time. Its got pretty cool mechanics indeed, and honestly if people are new...I would hope death on the first boss wouldnt equal a bail. Just explain what mistakes they made and everyone should do much better the next go. You cant learn something unless you at least try.

It's funny because when we do reach the first boss, I really try hard to explain. I apologize first in case people know the fight but I always feel most people who enter Pharos are too scared to mention anything in fear of being kicked. Also I notice there are times where frustration is high where you'll ask someone to help kill adds and they are zerging boss. So I really do understand people for wanting to throw their arms up and leave but at the same time - vote to kick is for that reason. When people ignore you on purpose and won't listen to reason. - I'm sure the group will oblige and there's no real reason to vote abandon with 3 capable people. Unless the tank left, that is. Then I can understand too because tanks rarely join-in on Pharos lol

I actually like Pharos Sirus ALOT due to the kind of mechanics introduced. I think a lot of the current instance placed stress on the Tank, but in Pharos Sirus, the tank's fate is pretty much on the hands of the DPS (with the exception of last boss Siren). This is the dungeon where it gives the DPS a run for their money, the first boss you need to kill them really ASAP, same as Zu, adds needs to be dealt with fast and DPS has to watch for the stacks to decide whether to let it hatch or kill the eggs (so that Tanks won't be murdered). DPS still had to deal with adds and killing them fast for Siren, but Siren's success depends on Tanks interrupting Lunatic Voice and Healers topping people up and removing debuffs. It's really a fun fight and it's a shame that players think it's difficult. Probably bad DPS having an easier time elsewhere and this is the place that stumped them.

I hope SE make more of such dungeons that actually let DPS "do something". ^^

i am a pretty inexperienced healer, and have only tried PS twice. It was the only dungeon I have yet to complete, so I decided to earn my healing stripes by completing the dungeon as a healer. I had one blm in the group who was decent geared. The tank was brand new to tanking and the instance, as was the drg. The dungeon was smooth because of the lower dps I think. We did wipe on siren 3 times although. Alls it took was some strategizing after seeing what we were wiping on the first couple times. Hell, the tank didnt silence lunatic voice once. The only thing I told the group was to kill the adds quick, because if I could keep from getting stunned, I could do it. For me as a new healer, in 70ish gear, a decent blm, a new tank and drg in fresh 60ish gear, I can confidently say that this dungeon isn't as bad as everyone makes it out to be. Honestly, people need to allow some things to be challenging. I understand its more difficult than other dungeons, but let it be. This was one of the most satisfying wins I have had, just under downing Twin, and maybe T2 since it took my first static a while to down it.

I just wish people would practice and be patient with their teammates before they consider fights to be "broken" & go asking for a nerf.

I've been spamming this for myth on Monday, and I can officially say it's my favorite DF dungeon now, it's really fun. And it's easy as long as DPS knows that they need to prioritize adds on on like every boss(except Tyrant, since he's such a wuss). I have yet to have a failed run.

And, in all due respect, can easily compete with Haukke Manor(HM) as one of the quickest dungeons if you know what you're doing. You have very few pulls in between each boss, and nothing separating Tyrant from Siren.
