Titan HM needs a change for those who can't devote all their time to this game.

You kind of deserve to be flamed, looking at your profile I'd say you couldn't have been 50 for more than 2 weeks. After you get through HM titan a few times you'll realize it's not that bad.

I will concede the point that it's frustrating as a tank, but that's really because you literally do nothing the entire fight. It's one of the fights where most of the pressure is on the dps.

Keep working on your gear, finish leveling your conjurer for Stoneskin, get the first few levels at least in Maurader for Foresight, and try and network with some folks you know are competent. You'll get it down eventually, and honestly if you can't get through Titan HM you're not going to succeed in any of the content that comes after it.

OP, please realize that Titan HM is the first real difficulty jump in the game's progression - players can usually fake their way up to this point hitting buttons and relying on others. Titan HM is the first instance that requires team coordination to succeed - lots of dodging mechanics, DPS check, proper placement for people at different times, and the realization that his rotation is just that - a rotation...that he doesn't stray from. It takes practice - no one that I know of (who wasn't carried or bought their way through it) beat Titan HM on their first try. We practiced, we got in awful DF or formed groups, and practiced until we couldn't anymore...and then we did it again the next night.

But that first time you beat it...it will be worth it and you'll feel like you accomplished something major.

**I actually LIKE that Titan HM is a tough roadblock to your relic. It's not really that hard, but what IS hard is getting a decent group.

-1 tank, 5dps, 2 heals seems ideal to actually succeed, but I treated DF groups more as "practice" and expected 1 of the tanks to die at some point due to low hp/dead healer/bad use of CDs/inability to dodge, so the 2nd tank was often helpful :/
-I really don't think the higher ilv would help much...even if it required ilv70. The fight is much more about dodging than gearcheck. Having the minimum HPs seems more of an issue than any other stat.
-Lowering the damage or number of sources of damage would make this much more do-able for DF PuGs. I never saw DPS as the issue - rather it was simply a matter of everyone being alive.

I recently completed titan HM for the first time without using a FC, or excessive effort to form a good group. It was very hard to get a group that could do it, but I think the easy answer is to do it with a FC, or consistent group.

A couple of tips on suceeding without a FC or regular group:

1) Use DF to get experience in the fight. Hopefully you get groups that can get past the heart and into the three rows of bombs, so YOU can become an expert at the fight. DO NOT EXPECT TO EVER WIN. I'm pretty sure I did over 100 attempts in DF with 0 wins. I was in full ilv 70, with pretty high HPs, but took at least 10 attempts before I was reliable, and maybe 30 before I really had it down pat to the point that I could anticipate the boss abilities, when I should cast what, and when my party was going to screw up.

2) Once YOU are very comfortable with the fight continue to use DF, AND check PF for good parties... Generally every PF party I was in was better than the DF groups... but it still took like 10 parties and a total around 30 attempts before I was in a group that suceeded. The group that suceeded had 4 or 5 of us standing at the end... so it wasn't pretty. I looked for groups with; 1 tank, decent ilv requirement, note that experience in the fight was expected, mostly one FC, etc

Having leveled BLM first before PLD I can agree OP. As DPS the fights start to fail if we can't dodge... or if the healers can't dodge. Unfortunately, you have the easiest part to play in Titan HM. You just need to make sure that if you're not overgeared to pop a CD on Mountain Buster and laugh in Titan's face.

Unless you have DPS who decided to move so close to you that you have to worry about landslide or plumes.

A gear check won't help. It's a skills check.

I'm more worried about clearing Titan Ex than I ever was about HM...

Just stick with it and find some good people to play with. My BLM and PLD relics came from pugs. BLM being my first. So no its not impossible but does take time to accomplish. Keep your head up it will eventually happen.
I was severely questioning my skills w/Titan Ex when I had yet you clear it. That fight makes you feel like crap, especially when you think you are in the right position, but eat a bomb, or not close enough to the edge and get killed by Geo smash after super bombs. But i learned from mistakes. And now I 1 shot him along w/ all other ex on Monday. So keep trying. Befriend players that are good and play the instance with them. Good luck bud.

Titan HM, is, well hard. It's supposed to be hard. If you know the fight well enough to complete it with similarly skilled players then it's only a matter of time/ effort. Grab some friends who have passed the fight, almost nobody actually minds helping people out with this fight. I personally found it to be a lot of fun until my group started completing it with almost no chance of a screw up.

Higher ilvl will help, but if people can't dodge (especially landslide) it doesn't matter. The higher ilvl pretty much just allows players who can complete it anyway complete it faster. If you don't have a FC full of people with relics and you have no intention of moving to one, I'd recommend using the party finder and trying to emphasize that you intend to stay until you're done. You'll probably still get one or two people who try 1-3 times and then quit because 'lol noobz', but it mostly is about practicing the fight until it's second nature.

The Titan HM is a pain in the @#$%ing @$$! However, I went a bunch of times in DF until I beat it with mnk. I did War with my FC and it was a breeze. I am sorry that you're getting stuck. Maybe get some gear that i90 and then try again. Also, a good FC is a great idea. You should have no problem getting myth as a tank. Eveyone loves a good Tanker! =D

OP's gear seems to be enough for the encounter, his problem seems to be time constraints or the will to find a group.

Kinda doubt it's the former because the Party Finder over on Odin pretty much always has groups running Titan HM. I join quite a lot of them to help out and from my experience most groups are successful, can't understand why the OP is struggling with it so much ...unless he's using DF.

Other than the heart DPS check, HM Titan is a huge healer skill check. You need to know rotations for this fight when healing. It helps greatly. I just wrote out the rotations and color coated the abilities and placed the flash card by my monitor so it was easy to see mid fight. Hope that works^^
