It is really getting tiring to say this EVERY TIME there's a discussion about new jobs. Yoshi P already confirmed that classes and jobs will be released in PATCHES not EXPANSIONS. It is very well possible that MSK is coming in 2.2 since I do believe he hinted at a new class being released soon.

EDIT: more interesting in that sneak peak is the new storyline featuring that emissary from the far eastern continent of Othard - did anyone notice that the nation the emissary comes from is named after Cyan's fallen kingdom from FFVI?

I dunno what that is, but I must have that purple lady's outfit.

It has always been there. And in 1.0 it was a completely seperate guild.

The musketeer guild was in the coral tower since 1.0 beta.
The marauder guild was on a ship, moved into the tower during ARR beta (the former guild ship was forcibly recruited from the limsa marine after the calamity).

It seems that the old coral tower was destroyed during the calamity and was rebuilded on a new place.
Because the tower is now more at the east in ARR.

I think it's too early to introduce a new class. We're only just over half a year into the original game. I think if there was a new class to be introduced in 2.2 we would know about it by now.

To be fair we didn't have any kind of information about scholar before it was released. Even summoner was a bit "hidden" amidst some artworks, but scholar was never anywhere until release.
