They were a tank in ff11, and they'll be a tank here again. Ninjas are tanks. Stealth is not a real class type.

WAR is also a tank, it wouldn't be fair if they also had good dps. maybe they'll make an axe dps class like berserker

I have no idea what this all is. Doesn't even come close to what I would call English. But good luck on WAR bro, keep wiping groups because you would rather DPS than tank. But whatever floats your boat bro, play the way you want to.

NIN was supposed to be a DD class that used their magical spell thingies. Some people actually played the job that way, and of course it worked. I guess not many wanted to afford all the different powders, though.

ANYWHO on topic: My buddy takes WAR/MRD into CT in full DPS gear and has out-damaged A LOT of DPS, he's usually 2nd in DPS behind whatever I'm playing (DRG or BLM). He says MRD is better for DPS due to all the available damage dealing cooldowns, but I'm not convinced. WAR/MRD can be a very competent DPS, but when we're talking about optimal play by all classes involved, I'm not sure it has the potential to match an optimal MNK/DRG/etc. That said, it has potential to be "good enough" and even better than a lot of so-so DPS you may run into. I really didn't want to believe him until he... uh... *cough* asked a friend to estimate how much damage he was doing, on multiple runs for a few months /winkwink.

WAR/MRD is a regrettably competent DPS that you can play with your friends, but if you're playing in public parties, just do your damn intended role so you don't have to argue with everyone.

Pretty much every thread like this boils down to "Play how you want......... when in the company of friends."
