If DS do 6k damage unmitigated, PLD would be at 5440 while WAR would be at 6760. To heal up to full, you'll need 2560 on PLD and 3240 on WAR. 20% extra healing on 2560 equates 3072 heal so WAR still come up short of 168 HP. There, I just proved you wrong.
The 20% Healing DOES apply to the galvanize shield buff, but the Warrior will actually take a slightly higher percentage of their HP bar as damage than a Paladin.% Yes that is correct but, over all mitigation vs ds that is not correct. The reason being is that even though they are the same % of health the actual absorption is larger when it comes to DS.
Unless there is a different mechanic, it clearly states that Adlo "nullifies damage equaling the amount of HP restored". So based off that 20% Should apply to the Adlo.
[Math snipped]
Warrior does benefit more when it comes to ds while under ss / adlo.
This is because Warriors get healed for slightly less (percentage wise) than a Paladin.
Example:
Lets say both Tanks start with 7000 HP.
Warrior Defiance adds 25%, bringing this to 8750.
Paladin Shield Oath adds 20% Damage reduction.
A Death Sentence hitting for 6k damage will do this:
Warrior takes 6000 damage, health goes from 8750 to 2750 HP (31.43% of maximum)
Paladin takes 4800 damage, health goes from 7000 to 2200 HP (31.43% of maximum)
(Note both tanks take an identical percentage of damage)
Now let's try the same hit at full HP, but throw in a 800 HP NON CRIT Aldo first.
This aldo on the Warrior will produce 20% more healing via Defiance, resulting in a shield of 960 HP.
This aldo on the Paladin keeps its original value, giving a shield of 800 HP.
Warrior takes 6000 damage, the 960 HP Shield is used and health goes from 8750 to 3710 HP (42.40% of maximum)
Paladin takes 4800 damage, the 800 HP Shield is used and health goes from 7000 to 3000 HP (42.86% of maximum)
(Note the Paladin takes a slightly lower percentage of damage than the Warrior)
Now let's try the same hit at full HP, but throw in a 800 HP CRIT Aldo first.
Being a Crit, the aldo will do 1.5x healing (800*1.5=1200HP base) and a shield of double that value.
This aldo on the Warrior will produce 20% more healing via Defiance, resulting in a shield of 2880 HP.
This aldo on the Paladin keeps its original value, giving a shield of 2400 HP.
Warrior takes 6000 damage, the 2880 HP Shield is used and health goes from 8750 to 5630 HP (64.34% of maximum)
Paladin takes 4800 damage, the 2400 HP Shield is used and health goes from 7000 to 4600 HP (65.71% of maximum)
(Note the Paladin again takes a lower percentage of damage than the Warrior)
Note again that the shield granted via Stoneskin doesn't quite work this way - it'll get multiplied by War's 25% higher maximum health instead of the 20% Buff to Healing received.
The result is that Stoneskin is equally effective on both tanks, but Galvanize is slightly more effective on Paladins.

/facepalm% Yes that is correct but, over all mitigation vs ds that is not correct. The reason being is that even though they are the same % of health the actual absorption is larger when it comes to DS.
Unless there is a different mechanic, it clearly states that Adlo "nullifies damage equaling the amount of HP restored". So based off that 20% Should apply to the Adlo.
18% of 10k = 1,800 & (lets just say the adlo heal on pld is 800) 20% + 800 would = 960 that would be 2,760 total reduction from the ds vs.
18% of 8k = 1440 and then of course 800 from adlo = 2240 total reduction vs ds.
So in ds specifically the warrior takes less damage w/ those combined. In this scenario 520 less damage from ds. The adlo heal % away ss would still be more effective vs ds by 360.
Warrior does benefit more when it comes to ds while under ss / adlo.
Warrior does not benefit more from adlo/ss. PLD is pre mitigation, and the health benefit is built in to a 25% heal received, vs. the Warrior 20%. With your own numbers, 2760 damage reduction for the warrior, at 10k HP, so his eHP for DS is 12,760 for lets just say a 7,000 HP hit from Twintania. This brings the WAR down to 5760 HP, which is 57.6% of his 10k HP.
Now lets look at the PLD. With your own numbers, 2240 damage reduction for the Paladin at 8k HP, so his eHP for DS is 10,240. The same 7,000 HP hit from Twintania for Warrior is a 5600 HP hit for the PLD (1400 less from 20% damage reduction shield oath). This brings the PLD down to 4640 HP, which is 58% of his 8k HP.
Hmm, lets think about this for a second, you mean.. the PLD actually receives more benefit? IMPOSSIBRUALLLALLALAL!!! The reason isn't stoneskin, but in fact Adlo. Stoneskin is the same exact benefit for both PLD and WAR, while Adloq benefits the PLD because of the 5% difference in healing received between a 20% DR, ,which equals 25% extra heals, compared to the Warrior's 20% heal received.
People, please stop spreading misinformation. This stuff gets really old.
*edit* Looks like Maelwys beat me to it, cheers bud.![]()

1% healing difference. Both tanks can tackle all content and in 8m it's better to have 1 of each than 2x PLD/WAR. Can we move on?
In the end, it all boils down to execution.

Funny mitigate is in a form of a buff. Shield oath is considered a buff and a mitigation just like adlo / ss. So w/o mitigation meaning no buffs @ all they would take 6k damage and no one wins.
I think people are misunderstanding what I stated.
I stated that war benefits more from adlo / ss and they do.
I never stated that the total damage from ds to target was greater but only that ss/adlo reduced damage more on warrior then paladin and it does.
To put it in laymen's terms; 2760 is great then 2240.
The rest of the math is correct on your part but, that's not what I was debating I was simply debating that those two effects are more beneficial to a war.
I really hope you are trolling, and not this dumb. We showed you the math that Adlo benefits the PLD more then the Warrior. Stoneskin benefits Warrior/PLD equally. You are simply wrong.I think people are misunderstanding what I stated.

In much the same way that a car going 96.5606 kilometers per hour is going faster than a car going 60 miles per hour, because big numbers are bigger.
