Or Vanguard. Or GW2. Or Rift at launch. Or SWTOR at launch.

EQ launch was 1999. There weren't a TON of other MMO's to learn from back then. In 2014, you would think SE could do a little research in order to prevent repeating bad decisions made in MMO's of the past.
