They really should consider re-doing the intro cutscenes as pretty much everyone in alpha hated them.

For good reason: they're trash compared to the awesomeness that 1.0 had. The 1.0 openings were what I expect from a Final Fantasy game. What we have right now is what I would expect from a 3rd rate F2P MMO.
yes HALF if not most of it are exactly what I saidYou mean other than the fact that you could go through this thread and make a list of 50+ things people preferred from the old version.
That's solid feedback. That's saying I am not satisfied with x feature, it can be implemented in y way (and they already know how to implement it that way, because they already did it once). Don't take criticism of the game as some kind of personal attack on it. These people have already proven their loyalty to this game. They want to see it not only succeed financially but also as a creative endeavour in its own right.
Was it really though? Talk to NPC > Synth > Repeat for 20 minutes. It was a nice idea in theory but it needed a lot more variety to be "awesome". Gathering was admittedly a bit more difficult since you had to try and avoid mobs and such but it was still completely tedious.
I guess people will just be overly defensive about things they want. If the old game 1.23 or beyond was so great, ARR wouldn't have been made
Your character doesn't show anything from before 2.0 on the Lodestone. Did you have a previous character in the original game or are you just throwing in random comments about a game you've never even tried?
As mentioned on a similar thread before, I enjoy playing the game now. I actually lost interest playing my 1.0 character as he already had high levels and I could breeze through a lot of the storyline and guild quests. I am getting more enjoyment playing a game as a new character (the one in my signature) rather than my 1.0 character. Besides, I hate rushing anyway and I enjoy taking my time playing.
