A patch in right direction, even with minor changes. These are quality of life, but I'm extremely happy they finally decided to add them:
- The clickable target box for characters has been enlarged.
- Mounts will now affect the size of character target boxes, as well as their target rings.
I really don't get how you can think spending 30 seconds navigating menus and changing Jobs to repair a single Jobs gear is convenient...
Self gear repairs shouldn't require changing Job at all. You should just be able to repair all your currently equipped gear, provided you have the necessary crafts/DM. That is much more convenient, you don't have to wait on cooldowns if you're in the field, you can repair in instances, and overall it would be faster than using the NPC. No idea how it's taking you so long to find a repair NPC, in a city they're seconds away, in the field they're near every aetheryte and township so seconds away again, if you're not near any of them, again, changing Job resets cooldowns, which is inconvenient. Then there is the fact that you have to navigate that gods awful menu to repair your gear. I want to repair my <Job>'s gear, as it is I have to go through all my gear (I have a lot) and select <Job>'s gear from those lists. At the very least they could add a Gear Sets option to the drop down menus...
These complaints have been around since beta, and I don't even think the developers have given a response on it yet... There is definitely room for some quality of life improvements when it comes to self repairs, that much is undeniable...
Seems like it's turned on by default. Was just in Bentbranch where it was raining. The effect is so subtle it's almost pointless... :/ I would have rather they added foot prints in the snow/sand. Oh and the cold weather breathing effect only occurs when you're standing, not when running. Cause I mean who breaths when they run anyways? Lol.
I like wish list in market wards.
-> we can see what worth to grind with demand category and we can ask other people to grind for us what we want to buy
I must have that chocobo suit. WANT.
You would think so but this isn't the case, it just pulses a line through the aoe. Square give us the option of seeing the cast time in the aoe.
The new AoE markers look good though. I'm guessing the AoE slowly 'fills' to match the cast time of the attack being used (judging by the inner rings) so that people have a better visual representation of when they're going to get hit by an attack. A definite plus, especially for all those Titan runs.

Way to go SE, please disallow this during battle.
Repairing should be better in every way, as you need to have taken the time to grind several crafting classes up. Currently, it's only better if:
1: All your gear all needs repairs. While leveling or with different tiers of things, sometimes you will only need to repair a few things. Hunting and choosing sucks. Why not just repair all anyway? See the next one...
2: Your gear is past a certain point. There's a durability where self-repairs are wasteful, and the further past you go, the more cost efficient it is. My current tanking outfit needs to be under 59%, for example. The Menders are never wasteful, so you can repair any time you see one.
3: You're a sizeable distance from a repair NPC. And let's not kid ourselves. We're never more than a minute away from one.
If you qualify for all 3, sure, the repair system is fine. But I stopped repairing my own stuff a long time ago, as the time spent doing so isn't worth the small amount of gil saved. If I repair at 40% durability (don't wanna go into a dungeon with such a low number) I only save 445 gil or so. I can write that small amount off as well spent for not having to pay attention to all my gearsets.
They rebuilt the entire game (I thought) to make 2.0. So why couldn't they have given us the ability to repair as any class? Or at least any DoH? It's bad enough that they decided we only needed to repair our own gear.
Anyone else finding gamepad controls kind of suck now? With Cross Hotbar Controls set to Hold, there now seems to be a fairly substantial delay on letting go of the button and being able to press another button... So much so that I will hit one ability, then attempt to switch hotbar, be unable to because of the delay, and not only fail to use the ability I want, but potentially use a completely different ability instead... It is pretty damn annoying...
