It's better to spread progression between myth and the new tomestones instead of bottlenecking everything at the new tomestones. You'd get people who will farm said myth tomes ad nauseum to gear their multiple jobs at lv50 then complain on the forums about having nothing to do. Again.

    * The sad thing is that FFXIV turned RDM into a turret, and people think that's what it's supposed to be. It's supposed to combine sword and magic into something more, not spend the bulk of gameplay spamming spells and jump into melee for only 3 GCDs before scurrying back to the back line like good little casters.

    Me neither. I don't remember seeing it in the latest live letter for 2.2. Wasn't in the translation or Q&A either. I think everyone just assumed it because of the Coil T1-5 restriction changes. If I'm wrong and have missed it, someone feel free to show me a legit sauce please ^_^

    They haven't said anything yet. It makes sense for them to do so since we'll have new tomestones, but SE doesn't always do things that make sense. They may raise the cap instead of making it uncapped instead. They may not do anything... time will tell.

    This is exactly why I never understood people instantly jumping around making a fool of themselves "MYTH CAP GONE!!!!!" the instant the live letter was over.

    Aye, but there's a fair bit of difference between a logical assumption and one that is so illogical that it makes no sense at all.

    If they are removing the loot restrictions for Coil's ilv90 gear then it's completely safe to assume that we'll be free to farm myth tomes for ilv90 gear too.
