I can actually see the argument against the glow. Yes, it's meant to make the weapons look special-er in relation to the originals, but I think it's a little much. For some weapons the glow sort of makes sense; the orb of the Stardust Rod, the... hmm, that's it, really. The glows should have been a little more subtle, I think. Like the floor effect of King Behemoth. Not this constant beam of light with particle effects. Hopefully Glamours will let you tone them down.

Even if you don't like it, I don't get why you'd want SE to spend time on making code to turn it off.

Why do people get so up in arms about people requesting options? I hate the glow too and I would love if I had the option to.
And don't give me that "but they could develop other things!" because that can literally be said about ANYTHING ELSE being added into the game.
More special snowflakes? SE, please make my gear shiny because I feel average if I don't shine like the sun.

They could have easily done a palette swap like they did for the AF1. I prefer a palette swap since it shows without having any extra graphics that you have and upgraded weapon. I mean the glow is nice but when you spend 3 weeks pre 2.1 farming myths for a "glowing weapon" that looks exactly the same, it's kinda lame.

He types in black because it's the default color obviously. Why is it the default color? Because it's easier to read.
You, on the other hand, are going out of your way to type in a color that is irritating to read.

Absolutely not! Adding your request to the game would take away immersion.
