I do think vote abandon needs a lot of tweeks.

If you voted no, you should have the option of staying and waiting for more people to queue up. And maybe make the % a bit higher, closer to 75% or something.

It's already 75% for light parties. For full parties it's already 5/8 needed, while you may think that is too few, I think decreasing the no votes needed to only 3/8 would be bad. So I am fine with how it is now.

Alliances could maybe do with one more vote needed to keep the 5/8 yes ratio from full parties, but I'm fine with where it is now. I see why they put it where they did, it's a half way point between the 2 extra initiators that don't exist because only 1 person from the alliance instead of 1 per party need to initiate, but if it would calm people down, one more vote yes needed won't hurt there.

I agree the penalty should be higher for rage quitters. Also the abandon feature should either be removed or make it a bigger majority vote, more like 6 out of 8.

Oh hey, we queued as 4-5 people, we feel this run has no chance in hell of ending well, but since the vote abandon feature now has a 2 hour lockout, we'll just take off all our equips and wipe the party till one of the others decide to leave. Ps. They can't kick us either cuz we're the majority! Trololololol!

Sounds like what people who get kicked for being bad say all the time; not new players.. I'm referring to long time players that never improve. Aka: why can't magami get a static? Ask any good players if they have this sort of sentiment... Good players love the vote kick option. GG.

You can not make other people play with you. If they can not vote abandon or leave, they will disconnect. And you are back where you started. There are many ways vote kick abuse can happen, and those can all be reported to the GM. However if you are consistently vote kicked, maybe that is because you are a troll in game and don't expect people to put up with you going AFK indefinitely while they are trying to make progress.

I don't think there's a way to make vote kick 100% abuse-free. It's the sad truth(in my opinion), but I'd rather deal with the issues we have now than the issues we had before vote kick. Before vote kick, I did at least 50 dungeons where a tank or DPS would AFK and expect to get a free carry for the tomes. The only way to deal with them was to report them then finish the dungeon or abandon it. As a side note, I don't think any of these AFK trolls ever got punished. A lot of people would just leave the duty, getting the abandon penalty instead of the AFK troll. Choosing to join an in-progress party use to be a bad idea because 99% of the time you'd end up in a AFK trolls party.

AFKing is still an issue, yes, but not like it use to be. If you didn't live through the "pre-vote kick" days I'm not sure you could understand how incredibly frustrating it was.

Just get rid of the time limits. Then you can idle while you wait for new ppl to join. What is the point of these time limits anyway?

Because then people could troll the instances by queing up and staying afk forever. Then other people cant enter because the instances are full. Theres not an unlimited amount of instances that can be open you know.

That's not trolling. That's just some dumb evil rage/ignorance induced Id behavior lol. Trolling is a much more light hearted humorous adventure. A lot of people think "imma troll them" and just act annoying...that's not trolling. Trolling layers confusion with doubt with laughs with mermaids.

If you kick X player from your group they should not beable to Re q into your group but again people could abuse it but in your case trolling tank that is a vaild reason to not want them back.
