    An anime based on a dating sim that was about the messed up-ness of teenagers.

    If I recall the "Nice Boat" meme started when a girl in Japan killed her father with an axe, on the same week an ep where one of the characters murdered someone was going to air. To not seem socially insensitive, the station aired a bunch of pleasant scenes in the timeslot they normally used to air School Days. One of them had a passenger ship passing a river, to which someone on 4chan replied "nice boat". The japanese took well enough to it and even the guys that made School Days did some stuff involving the meme.

    * The sad thing is that FFXIV turned RDM into a turret, and people think that's what it's supposed to be. It's supposed to combine sword and magic into something more, not spend the bulk of gameplay spamming spells and jump into melee for only 3 GCDs before scurrying back to the back line like good little casters.
