Controller becoming unresponsive periodically

Same problem here since 2.1 exactly. This is on an XBOX wired controller where randomly my character goes in autorun. I can get control back by running in the opposite direction. I have a feeling its related to adjusting the camera distance using LB1 + Right Stick

The issue Perpixel brings up seems to be pretty much felt by everyone regarding the new more "sensitive" autorun. Do you also just have "dead" times when none of your inputs are recognized or you cant change direction even when hitting LB?

Correct. I have auto ran, froze, had my controller spam up up up up up or enter enter enter enter. all problems seems to happen at the exact same time as my husbands controller acts us even when we are 5 hours apart. all also seem to last for about 4-6 seconds and can end up not happening again for a hf hr or as soon as 10 seconds after. Ive looked into everything.. Ive changed things, modified things followed other game advice for lag and controller issuies. Tried different controllers, different Pc's and win 8, 8.1 and 7 with no avail.. It's sad as this was never a problem in 1.0 and only seems to happen on certain maintenance.

I have experience the same issues everyone has mentioned on this thread so far. Never had this problem until 2.15 update. Playing with a third party wired xbox controller and I am on Window 8.0 OS.

But mine are different .. my controller works fine in everything except the triggers, so no cross hotbar for me. Movement, camera, literally everything else is fine. Tried all the fixes you guys have. Controller was working just peachy before the 1-21-14 patch. So now I'm back to keyboard/mouse .. sigh .. controller was so much more fun.

Have you tried deleting the FFXIV.cfg file? It's under "User\Documents\My Games\FINAL FANTASY XIV - A Realm Reborn\" and contains your game pad configuration info.

There should be no need to "calibrate" an Xbox 360 controller with the game's "calibration" config, This should be true with any controller that uses Xinput. I would advise you to skip this unless your controller uses DirectInput.

Hi, I am also having these same issues as you guys are with the controller just not responding to any additional inputs at given times, and today fell off the platform in titan extreme because of it. I also have Windows 8. (not 8.1 though)

My character would not stop running in a given direction, and I had not ever hit Autorun/LB (I knew better since the Autorun became so sensitive recently) so it was not that. This doesn't happen in any other game I have tried with controller (MGR:R, PSO2, and Dark Souls, for example) so I can't blame the controller here.

Please fix this.

I am still having these issues - though strangely only when I am at home. I play at school and at a local coffee shop with no issues whatsoever. Delta, when it happened to you were you simply unable to enter any inputs at all for a given amount of time and then it started working again?

Xbox controller doing that is weird. But ps3 or ps2 controller isnt legit compatable with PCs its not microsoft.. All of you ps3 controller users go out and get an xbox one.. By law microsoft doesnt have to make ps3 controllers work on microsoft thungs, and if you say you use a 3rd party program to get your stuff working you void any assistance from tech support because you should know better

I'm using a Microsoft Xbox 360 wired controller.

So yeah, any support person every actually read these forums, or...?
