I actually think its a good thing they are tweaking difficulty. It gives the players who may not be as skilled or geared, or play casually a chance to enjoy the Coil of Bahamut content as well; and admit it, we all hate weekly lockouts... I really don't think this was a stab by SE to make previous players upset that they had it "more difficult"
It's no different than CoP was in XI. They removed the level cap so that newer players could experience the content too without having to beg for help from other players. Back then people were angry too, but learned to accept that SE did this to benefit the whole, not just the few who would probably not retry the content later anyways, since they already had new content to master.
A voice of reason within the hellhole this forum has become... Thank you.I actually think its a good thing they are tweaking difficulty. I played through CoP pre-nerf myself and wasn't too happy with the nerf... Even though I saw the logic in it.
The problem is special snowflakes don't feel too special when they are made to melt a bit and have to reform back into special little snowflakes. It is sad really... Ah well.
People are complaining but aren't thinking about it for a sec... coming here to whine with no logic behind their reasoning.
1-5 lock out is removed so people can catch up, 6-9 remains locked.
nothing to cry about... i just don't understand why CT remains locked though
I like how this individual completely ignores the upcoming stronger gear, implies his only way to see if someone is a good player is with RNG on his side to get Coil loot (screw good players that "aren't DRG or MNK", right? And screw if a player didn't get that loot in another job, right?) and says that other people can't read English while he seems to enjoy beating his head on the keyboard and clicking "Post Quick Reply" himself.
Wait, actually I don't like it.

It's so hard to balance the difficulty of the game to satisfy both the hardcore and casual players. The devs are gonna have to choose: continue to make the game casual friendly or tailor it to the hardcore crowd. It appears they are continuing with the former, which, not surprisingly, turns off a lot of the hardcore players.
At least it's only a few months instead of 7 or so years like with XI.Why do you say it like its a normal thing? This is honestly a d**k move by SE to invalidate the last 4 months of effort a lot of people were patient enough to withstand. This is a disgrace... It bothers me how insensitive you are to the OP's qualms becsuse its a perty big deal...

They just want their welfare items so they can feel powerful like all the good players for a few moments, then move on to the next tier of content, fail, and immediately revert back to crying to SE that the content is too hard/unfair.
What is this "Eco Buff"? Can you tell me more? Also, when they mean no lock out, does it mean you can Repeated Spam a Turn 1 - 5 all day long? Wouldn't that make CT obsolete and as well as Myth Tomb?
