Nobuo Uematsu ever gonna do more tracks for ffxiv?
Nobuo Uematsu ever gonna do more tracks for ffxiv?

i don't believe Uematsu is still involved in XIV

I hope he makes some featuring tracks for the expansion.
So many good tracks i've fallen in love with over the years.
Yeah I'm hoping for this too, possibly when an expansion hits. I think he did that with the first couple of FFXI expansions, so maybe we'll get lucky![]()
I hope not...I like tracks that's longer than a 30 second loop.

Uematsu had no connection to any of FFXI's expansions, other than some of the tracks for Chocobo raising and racing. He only worked on the original game (and then only a few tracks, namely Memoria di la Stona, Ronfaure, Distant Worlds, the Crystal Prelude and Dash de Chocobo. Most of FFXI's soundtrack was composed by Naoshi Mizuta with some tracks by Kumi Tanoika.
As for ARR, a while ago I remember Yoshi mentioned Uematsu will be returning to compose on ARR in the future, but it's unclear when that will be. In any event, ARR features a lot of his tracks from 1.0 returning, which are all available on Before Meteor, which is enough for now for me.![]()

considering how they got rid of pretty much all of his music I wouldn't be surprised if we never hear a new song from him for ARR

I really hope so but yoshida time ago said he spoke with uematsu for a possible future collaboration.
It would be sweet to have different composers every patch/expansions.
So i'm thinking to have also mitsuda and sakimoto in the project.
