It's already in the game, it's called instanced battle, defeating Ifrit HM to be able to face Garuda HM, defeating BC Turn 1 to unlock Turn 2...Neither do I.
Bring back the respect from new players to players at max levels by these easy steps:
1. When level cap is increased, bring back Maat fight system.
This means putting each player in a solo battle against Maat. Make this fight super hard, only 50% of players succeeds. This way, not everyone will be level 60 & you know those who made it are high in skills.
I don't care to be respected or admired for being level 50. But respected for my deeds in the game. Like helping others or something. But that is just my opinion.![]()
It is just a matter of memorization. Ifrit Ex, turn 2 are the only fight that do not feel scripted (Ifrit EX only because the breaths are random on tanks, and turn 2 because of random Red circle pattern and high voltage). The other fights are just memorization and don't really require much improvising once you have created a strategy. Every boss uses the same moves at the same exact time every time. It is just aimed at a different person and that is the only random factor. Titan will always use weight at the exact same time every time. If they used the TP system from FFXI for monsters, there would be a lot more randomness in the fights and a lot more strategy and thinking would be required. You ony memorize the phases where moveset of the bosses change, but the rest is random in FFXI.There is no boss in this game that is hard to beat. Then only hard fight is Titan and that is only because of lag, every fight you don't even need to think to win. That is not fun to me. Not one fight so far has made me go " oh god that was a dozy".
It's borderline insulting actually that people consider this hard. Dark Souls is hard.
This is why people don't go, oh that guy is so cool. He beat that and got that sword or whatever.
FFXIV ARR boss moves most of the time are completely ordered and never changes because the monsters do not rely on TP or hits from melee to gain TP to use moves. They will always use the moves in a specific order no matter what, which is kind of sad.

Ever seen Twintania use fireball and conflag at the same time? You know...something not normal?
Yes the fights in this game are incredibly easy which is why most of the playerbase whines about them and/or hasn't completed them.

So angry that if I were to state how I felt about how the Titan EX fight is impossible for me to do because of the "everyone stops attacking/moving for 3 seconds now let's play catch up" lag I would definitely be banned.
If the Development teams make another fight like Titan again...

The funny thing here is that I'm pretty sure that the percentage of players that bought Dark Souls and beat the game is likely considerably higher than the percentage of active ARR players that beat Twintania.
I thought Dark Souls was easy after some initial trial and error some people think it's BDSM in game form but that's my opinion. I could be a dick and say i find it insulting that you think Dark Souls is hard but i'm not going to.There is no boss in this game that is hard to beat. I'd rather save that admiration and respect to the people who plays with me.
Couldn't care less about "random accomplished player number #3"
I don't want to be admired, either. 100% of my enjoyment in MMORPGs comes from people who I play with... being at the "top of the pyramid" while playing with jerks wouldn't be any fun.
Well la-de-da, aren't you fancy? I hope to one day reach your level of skill and awesome where I no longer consider anything in this game tough!
If I told the other guy I don't care about the adulation of others, what makes you think I give any number of airborne rodent posteriors about what you think of me?

Your real life must be so sad that you can only feel good about yourself and get 'respect' (in your warped view of that concept) in a video game.
I feel sorry for you.
