Lack of SE Response to Lag

So yes, no matter how much you want to ignore it, SE does have options. They just aren't doing them as far as we know.

How many times have you gone to support from a company and get the run around? Yeah. Unless SE is running the ISPs or host their own tunneling service, it is not fully in SE's control unless Level3 happens to be a subsidiary of SE and we never knew.

I do not buy all of the arguments defending SE. I played WoW for 10 years and have never seen the lag issues that exist on FFXIV. Please explain to me how Blizzard servers work and SE don't.
And please don't give me its your ISP ect ect. Because it clearly is not.

If this were the first MMO of its kind, I would buy this argument but it simply is not.
WoW has been providing much better connection service for over 10 years, with MILLIONS, more users.

So why do you all defend SE and blame lol the internet/peoples connections/ect.

Where did I say it was fully in their control? The person I quoted claimed they couldn't do ANYTHING (their own capital letters), and that simply isn't true. They can do things as I listed, and even said poster admitted they could do it, just they don't want to spend the money.


Also, an individual going to support to a company is not the same thing as a company going to a company. Bad comparison is bad.

The simple fact that WTFast and Battleping work for some people is proof that it is. If it was the servers it would be a universal problem and those apps would never work. It is not universal, and those apps work. It's the internet.

No it really isn't, I never used WTFast or Battleping. A VPN server only helps people who are not in the country of the Server they are accessing. You still neglected to address my comment in regards to WoW.

Your logic is also false, just because some people experience an increased performance from 3rd party ping programs does not mean it fixed the underlying problem. The server architecture. You could also argue that BECAUSE it only works for some people, that is proof that it is not the internet, or it would fix all the problems.

This makes a lot of sense. SE should do this. Copy the best.

SE cant fix your bad connections or shoddy internet service. they also cant move you out of the boondocks

i play on ps3 in north america. lag rarely affects my gameplay. and since the 2.1 fixes i can safely say ive had no "lag" deaths

I have a great connection, I don't die to lag. I have had 90k errors for no reason *cough SE* cough* And its not just lag deaths people are complaining about. There are NUMEROUS connection issues of all kinds. And it is their fault.

Again WOW HAS THE SAME PLAYERS and none of the problems.

Misquoted me, they do not have teh same AMOUNT, but rather, the same type. People who play WoW have the same "shoddy internet connections" that are apparently the cause of everyones connetion issues. Yet they do no effect WoW only FFxiv.

Apparently you guys do not get this concept.

I am going to launch WoW and FFxiv at the same time on my computer and dual box them on my double monitor.

Lets take bets on which one disconnects or has extreme lag, and which one doesn't.

Another company is running the same game, with millions more users, and doing it far better. Can SE please take some notes.
