SE should make a VPN server tunnel based in middle of Europe. So all the europeans can connect via the OFFICIAL Square Enix tunnel. Since they ripped us off with no EU servers. This would be a bandaid for us EU players suffering from 140ms each way to cannada. Wait until PvP is out. EU will revolt!!

I've been thinking along those lines, as Battleping is the only way I can play without rubberbanding and undodgeable AoE. But I think identifying and working with transit providers to fix the routing and packet loss issues many people seem to be experiencing would be a better solution in the long term.

The type of software you are describing in this thread doesn't appear to directly control anything for the FFXIV client, and as such isn't breaking any of the rules. So, just to clarify, is this no longer the case? You have GM's issuing violations for mentioning something that we were all in the understanding that was okay to use?

This is why people put time and effort into providing something that other, successful games either provide directly or give support for. FFXIV seemed to be on board, and there was much rejoicing.

It's a good thing to have, with content this difficult, to be able to parse to see what are the most effective rotations so as a dps you can do your very best to help your group do content.
