I'm guessing that later either abilities or gear will buff both in different ways.
I'm really hoping they start making gear that affects certain abilities when worn. Like a chest piece that has "cure has a 10% chance to affect allies near the target as well" or something(not necessarily that effect). There's no risk of the stupid gearswapping from XI in this because you can't change gear in combat.
I just feel it would make gear more meaningful than "who has the higher stats?".
That ^ and Paladins without cure is no paladin at all. u_u `Nough Said.
I was levelling my SCH via instances and had a guy tell me to esuna off the debuff the second boss gives you in Cutter's Cry. I was either 38 or 39, and he was shocked to find out that debuff removal was not part of my toolkit.
