I was under the impression that Yoshi-P said things like this were going to be allowed, even to the point of being able to develop add-ons for the game.

This does not mesh with that statement very well.

I rarely post to these forums but this should probably be brought to Yoshi-P's attention.

Not just that, but on these very forums I am fairly certain a Mod responded that FFXIV-App was not against Tos.
I'm also fairly certain that Yoshi-P also stated the reason it was fine is that it does not in any way alter the game server side or client side, and only gathers information from the chat log.

Can we have a Mod please provide us with a clear answer to this. I don't think its fair you got a warning on your account for using something that you and everyone else thought was fine.

Going through the forums looking for mentions of FFXIV-App, people admit to using it all over the place. Are those people getting warnings as well?

I imagine they didn't find it. I imagine someone got upset about being told they had low DPS and retaliated by reporting him for using App.

I would also like more clarification on this. If anyone could find Yoshi-P's statements (official translation) in regards to this, as well as any from forum moderators or members of the development team.

I also recall Yoshi-P stating something along the lines of liking the addon community that WoW has, and wanting something like that for FFXIV. That was during the beta stages of ARR.
