The XI alternative is the cross over event, not Shantotto. What Zumi is saying is that at least we get something that can be fun (and has FFXI music) rather than something that has us synced down to level 1 hunting some mob for whatever amount of hours until the RNG decides to say "oh here, take this gear you'll only wear on social occasions."

It didn't take 3-6 hours to do ASA final fight (considering no BCNM fights lasted that long.) You seemed to completely ignore what I said in my post. FATEs leave very little room for creativity because they have to keep it completely accessible and if it's too "complex" people will complain they're being "excluded."

What I posted was the cross over events that happened in FFXI. Which is an alternative that SE could do, which isn't as good as the fates. Killing mobs as a level 1 for 3 hours isn't fun.

They finally got put into XI. I went back for the free weekend last month, and I saw this slime smiling at me. I was going to kill it, but it was too cute.

Oh, I would /swoon, even if it was the End of Time and then after reuniting them, the time rift would seal.

So much potential for crossover of titles. you could get Dragon Quest, Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana...

I'd take a Chrono, Mana, or SaGa (how about using the designs from Unlimited Saga, which strangely seem to fit Eorzea) crossover over an FFXI or DQ crossover anyday.

Lalafell's speak normally and have a normal nose. Tarutaru's do not... occasionally.

Let's not forget Lalafell having knees and Tarutaru don't (please SE, don't have given Shantoto knees.

I love CT and I'd love to see some sort of fan servicey thing in game for it like the Lightning event.. but honestly if they solved a plot point in a random FF game rather than a potential third Chrono game it would have some serious issues.

I'd prefer they continue using VI allusions in the game proper. I want to fight an Evil Garlean clown!

Its pretty much the tell between XI players and XIV only ones. WE still call them by the old school names, they look at us like we crazy.
