I've enjoyed this game thoroughly. It's really a solid game....pvp not so much right now lol.

I played DCUO for 2 years. I remember days when you couldn't even log on. You could tell when the servers were crashing. You'd just fly through a few buildings, the sound would cut out, then BOOM...no more game This would last for days, sometimes weeks. It was truly a horrible experience in comparison. One of the reasons I'm rather happy about all the maintenance. Thanks Square

There are a couple things that could obviously use some TLC, but nothing that makes me think my investment was not well spent. I'm really having a good time.

So, if you're lurking this forum and are wondering about picking this up, I recommend you do so.

I digress. What are some things about ff14 that makes you think, "Money well spent" ?

Chocobos and moogles man. I'd probably play a game about scooping dogpoop if it also contained chocobos and moogles. I'll tell SE all day about the crappy parts of their service, but as long as they keep the chocobos and moogles comin... they know they got me.

To be honest, as I was browsing these forums in the waiting days between ordering my copy and receiving it, I was becoming crestfallen. So many negative topics and users having such negative things to say about this game made me wonder if I'd made a mistake buying the game and being excited to play it.

I couldn't be happier to announce that I'm having the time of my life with this game! My FC is lovely, the story is engaging, I love the class and crafting system, the surroundings are so pretty, the character roster is great... I could go on for a good while. The game has some flaws, yes, but so do all games, and I won't digress any further down that line. I am enjoying the game immensely for what it is!

NyneAlexander and I are on the same wavelength. The moment I first mounted my very own chocobo was a dream from my youth come true...

I also came here from years of DCUO,and i agree DC was a real pile..... i believe leaving that to play A Realm Reborn was the best move i made as well

Really like FFXIV ,other then Titan X. But that is 1 thing compared to the many good things.

Hope the keep it up with the new content. And (personally) do not go crazy with the ilvl item increase (like WoW did/does).

Lovin this game as well. Life has turned me into a more casual player and I'm always exploring and finding new things. I've had nothing but positive experiences so far with my FC, LS and random dungeon groups. I can't wait to level up and experience Endgame but at the same time I'm having so much fun leveling that I can totally wait.

There are definitely things that need improvement, but what do you expect from a new game?? I've played a few MMOs since Beta, and at launch some of them were total failures. FFXIV however, has been super successful, and I have been totally addicted to. Despite the things that still need work, I think this game is totally awesome.

Don't worry, balance updates are coming to PvP in 2.1, as well as new types of PvP (2.2? not sure if thats when frontlines is coming))
