To our knowledge it is in 2.2 or 2.3,

Patch 2.15 among other things includes PvP balance changes, so I wouldn't be too concerned about frontlines not being ready.

Just wanna say this aggravates me. That to me is "two point fifteen" IE the 15th update of 2.0. I guess it's supposed to be a patch between 2.1 and 2.2? or are you guys really talking about 14 patches in the future? That's like what? 4 years from now? And what happens when we actually get to the 15th patch? We'll have two patch 2.15s?

Shouldn't the number be like 2.1.1? 2 = version of game, 1 = the number of the major patch, the 2nd 1 = the change within the patch that is not a new patch itself. When 2.2 is released, the longhand version is 2.2.0?

Maybe I'm just thinkin' too much into it...

2.9 is the major patch in the 2.0 era, after that it would become 3.0

Technically, 3.x will be the patch numbers for the first expansion.

If A Realm Reborn follows how they did patch numbers in 1.0, it'll be like 2.1a/2.1b, then 2.2/2.2a/2.2b/etc.

Patch 2.1 was held back by about a month due to the major server issues at launch. Their plan from here on out is 2-3 months on content patches, e.g. 4-5 in a year.

Hopefully they invest a bit more time in the next Beastmen dailies because I've pretty much lost all interest in the current ones knowing that all that lies in wait is a bunch of grinding for dyes, then more for a novelty minion I'll never use, and then even more for a reskinned mount that performs exactly the same as the four I currently possess.
