Wondering if I can get some opinions on items/stats please.

I have Full ilvl90 accessories (myth neck/bracelet, Titan Earring, Garuda Ring, Allagan Ring) and a set of melded accessories.

The difference in stat's are:

Crafted:

+32 Spell Speed
+40 Vit
+45 Mind
+24 Piety
+17 Crit
+16 Det

ilvl90:

+20 Int
+4 Accu

I love the extra HP/MP the crafted set gives, but wondering what the true dps difference is likely to be, when you take the extra pie into consideration.

Forget about your crafted set, absolutely forget it. No matter what you do Ilvl90 > best HQ crafted set. There is one exception, which is the one crafted ring to get 251 piety with a SCH in group. Even then I personally don't recommend going for 251 piety using a crafted piece. However, if your race is Lala/Mooncat/Midlander/Wildwood, you won't need to waste a slot on a crafted piece, you would already have enough Piety or close to it.

Look at it this way BLM is a burst job, our job is to make multiple targets die as soon as they show up. WP DMG, INT, Crit & Det are the most important in this case when you want stuff to melt. Examples, T5 Conflags, Snakes, and Dreadknights. T4 the entire turn is about killing everything as soon as they spawn. Garuda EM feathers and sisters, Titan EM phases and adds, Ifrit and his nails. All of them makes BLM shine cause of bursting, so ignoring the flat burst increase coming from ilvl90 in favour of VIT/Piety/SS is not as good, I can prove that to you with parsing any fight you want.

So form there here is what I recommend until you can achieve Puro BiS crit (personal recommendation) or det set:

^ Replace the myth belt with Allagan in both sets, I only have the myth belt & pants atm .

Don't forget, I'm only recommending the T5 set until you have T4 pants and Allagan Sceptre.

It's worth it to get 244 base Piety via bonus points. As a Midlander, I sacrificed the pittance of 1 Intelligence and gained a stronger rotation, a surefire DPS gain.

I did try to play around with Piety, but from my race "Duskwight Elezen" view point I could not justify it. I think in your case it is worthwhile .

I don't wish to start a new thread nor do I think this post is the best place for it, but I have to ask.

How come it is so hard to unite BLM players to support some of our job concerns? I have few examples for this:

When Blue Garter killed Twintania, other FCs started killing her rapidly. After few weeks it was confirmed BLM does not have a shield drop from her. I started crying on the forums about it to no end, with little to no support from the majority of other BLM players, specially the ones who were close to kill Twintania or already killed her. Heck I even had some BLM players whom tried to say "lel ilvl70 shield so good", "we are op, if they give us ilvl90 shield we will be even more op" and that kind of ignorance, not to mention the constant harassment from other jobs and next to no support from the BLM community.

The other matter is BLM Job spells Freeze & Apocatastasis. I have tried 3-4 times to cry about these two spells to get some changes to them yet 0 support from the BLM community. I don't understand, Yoshi himself said he does not want end game to be about elemental resistance yet we have an out of place spell that increase elemental resistance.

I don't understand, why are good players such as Puro, Sleigh, Hitome and many others did not show much support? I apologies for calling you guys by name but I just want to understand why?

Maybe I'm just the worst BLM in existence and we never needed the Ancient Buckler or any changes to Freeze or Apocatastasis cause they are so good.

People usually simply find it more productive to work with and focus on what they've got than participate in the discussions of what ifs. It's the same deal when someone comes in and talk about how they'd like to see egis reworked for summoners, they get shot down right away because there's very little merit to discussing these ideas in the scope of improving summoner play.

As for apopotosis though, from what I've been told it works on more things than its description implies, including abilities such as death sentence. I don't main BLM though so maybe someone more knowledgeable can confirm.
