I've always promised I'll watch a video if I die to the same thing more than a few times. I've still yet to do it, because I'm not stupid.

Someone can watch every video there is and still be godawful until they get some hands-on experience.

IF it were only so easy, as watching a video and you would be prepared for a fight, then titan runs would go thru every time.

You need experience with the fight, it doesn't matter about watching videos.
Whether you watch the video's or not makes very little difference.

You prioritizing watching the video's is just your own weakness. To pass these battles you need first hand experience.
Understanding the fight is not as simple as watching a video.

Expecting people to watch a video before, their first run, is pointless. It won't make them succeed, so they might as well go in and experience it blindly, thn if they are having troubles with certain mechanic then you watch the video.

Or you could, you know, TALK to people. Try some communication in the "massive" multiplayer online game. Working together to achieve a common goal instead of raging and just wanting to blow through the content instantly by not talking to a soul and expecting them to be perfect, who would want that?

You know what? Not everyone playing MMOs are long time MMO players. Reaching endgame does not make every person out there a seasoned veteran who knows what to do in before everything in the game at all times. Not everyone are aware of how much other players depend on their roles, even though it may sound unbelievable. As much as I understand how annoying long queues are, you need to remember that everyone are not elite players.

The reason I play final fantasy games is to go on an epic adventure with an element of surprise. Imagine if you knew every step of the game and how to fight every fight without thinking a bit about how to take down the boss or anything. That's not rewarding. I'd rather get wiped a couple of times and figure it out and then win, than win every time on my first try because I know each mechanic and where to hide, when to dodge, what not to hit etc. It's a game not a tv show to memorize off youtube players.

I watch videos only on dungeons or bosses when I want to know what to expect. But, I don't expect others to watch them because I do. Half th fun is finding a way to defeat the obstacles in our way. So, to avoid such problems with DF just make a premade group via Praty Finder, Free Company or Linkshell. Find like minded folk to join up and no more having tp bother with "lazy noobs" who like going in blind.

I am sure everyone who ever got hit by an AoE just did it on purpose. Stood there, for the lulz, right? It wasn't a human mistake, or they weren't surprised, or there wasn't lag or anything? Nah, they just do it to be a bunch of meanies. Yep.

Which lag are we talking about? The lag that seems to only affect certain people in harder fights despite everyone else dodging fine, or latency issues?

We had 83 for a Garuda EX farm. Wiped a couple of times but we got a good farm going. We even started only using one healer.
