PC master race is only an issue when people know you play on PS3. Personally I have never had an issue and in fact have never had anyone ever call me out for playing on PS3, and is usually the opposite when I tell them at the end of a dungeon and they're positively surprised that I was playing on a console. If you perform well enough then there really is no distinction between the 2, except loading times however I've seen PC players load slower than PS3 players.

Personally I had a spare SSD lying around and it's made my time playing much more enjoyable, but I didn't always use it and still never got called out on it.

While there's no denying PC is the superior system, a lot of the PS3 trash talk is a load of old codswallop. [/Brit]

    Marking quick? Use macros.
Shuffling crossbars? Get in the practice of using the R1+[button] shortcuts mid-gcd. It's really quick when you get the hang of it.
Load times is about the only thing I can't argue against excluding having an SSD, but a few extra seconds really isn't hurting anyone if your tank isn't Lala Jenkins.

There are many PS3 players downing Turn 5 weekly.
Okay, you have to work arguably a bit harder with things crossbar shuffling (which I still insist with a touch of practice is a piece of cake), but there's nothing stopping you from playing on the same level as anyone else - especially now that focus target has been included. It has "limitations", but not enough to stop you from doing any content in the game, even Behemoth and Odin are fine now. Things like lag etc are no fault of the format.

I have a friend on PS3 that I regularly play with. I actually often forget he's even playing on PS3. Sure the game will look nicer and keep a higher framerate on my PC but I certainly don't begrudge anyone playing on PS3.

From the perspective of a tank, I've been doing just fine on my raggity-old PS3 after spending a few hours reading up on and going through the game's settings. Then again, all I have to do is the same combination of mark>throw shield at the first guy>taunt rotations with the occasional attack thrown in for the fun of it. It takes longer to get used to, but what can I say? I'm on a budget and can't run the game on this old-as-molasses PC.

It took a while, but marking enemies is faster for me and I can do so pretty quickly. Of course, if another player offers to mark instead I'm more than okay with that. I do miss simply clicking on enemies to target them instead of handling my controller like a futuristic quantum coffee microwave device that has an instruction manual in a neo-humanoid language so futuristic my brain can't process what I see and I go temporarily blind. But I get it done. And I really want a gaming computer because tanking with the PS3 is like trying to play a violin with two severed arms, relying instead on my little elbow nubs.

PS3 drastically hampers some classes more than others. As a whm I have about 32 keybinds that I often need to hit within milliseconds to max my potential.
Can't recall any other class cept smn that perhaps comes remotely close. I've seen footage of. Ps3 whm. And it scares me.
Seen a few great ps3 dragoons, bards, even really decent tanks but have also seen the tanks limitafions.

As long as you can play your role well enough, I don't care at all if you're on a PS3. It's when you really, really suck that I'm going to complain about PS3s.

I have WHM lvl 50 and have no issues whatsoever and is actually my favourite class to play! It's incredibly easy and need no macros at all - as long as you know where all your abilities are you don't have to rely on macros. It's completely fair if you are better playing on a PC but judging others based on your own capabilities (incapabilities) is unjustified. I'm not really sure what situation you would need 32 key binds let alone using them within milliseconds, especially when the global cool down is 2.5 secs!

He asked if I was on a PS3 and then told me how to speed it up on the PC. I told him I was PS3 and he said oh well.
My friend had the same issue with marking on the PS3. He found a macro on eorzeasource that does the following:

    /macroicon "Ability"
    /mk "attack1" <t>
    /ac "Ability" <t>

''attack1'' will mark the targeted enemy with the number1 mark.
''Ability'' can be provoke or tomahawk throw for warrior. You'll have one enemy marked but when that enemy is almost dead, you can switch to another target and use the macro again.
