I love these people that cherry pick things that they like to do so much that they limit themselves on content to the point that they claim it isn't there.
No MMO will ever satisfy you with that line of thinking.

Try find a game that gives you something different to do every update. Tell me about it when you find one or create one.
Increasing the amount of endgame dungeons by 2.5 times, increasing the amount of endgame bosses by 2.6, adding in daily content(when everyone argued that this was a monday game), adding in a 24 player raid and PVP was two steps back? I'm...just guessing here, but they were walking backwards when they took those steps, right? Hence why it moved us forward?
And, really, if you're going to pull that crap, the only "gap filling" content is meant to fill in the gap with current content, giving everyone stepping stones to make their way to Titan(GKMMXII), or Binding Coil of Bahamut(CT), in case they hadn't already attempted it. You're free to have your own opinion, but you could at least be right about WTF you're saying. And also, not create a new thread when there's already one about this topic.
There's a lack of variety of content to do for sure.
I'm sure super extreme hyper EX primals are coming.
Not to white knight... but tell me a game that has lots of contents after 3-4 months.
If your bored this soon into 2.1 then this isn't the MMO for you.
In super extreme Garuda, there are now two spiny plumes to manage and 1 wicked wheel hits hard enough to 1 shot current i90 tanks. (har har I still laugh at how many tanks think the spiny aggro is actually "random")
Clicking that tower button in CT has made you a tad loopy.
While "lots" might be pushing it, the game offers more variety than people in this thread are suggesting. There's finally a bit more open world content, plenty of boss battles, a bunch of dungeons all of which I enjoyed, PvP which is at worst a good diversion and at best a little addicting (I keep going okay, just one more round!). Even if you have all jobs 50 there is enough variation to keep things going for a fair while. The next patch will bring more hardcore content, not that the extreme primals don't qualify.
To answer a game with a lot of content after 3-4 month, Rift. Rift put out more content in a shorter period of time than any MMO of this genre, to date. For the most part, Rift continues to do this at rates that make other games, WoW included, look like they are perpetually stagnant. Having said that, I don't care for the game lore, visuals, or a lot of the game play. SWTOR could have been great.. but they went and mucked that up reaaaaal good with terrrrrbile, blisteringly bad class balances and PVE/PVE loot systems.. not to mentioned bugged bosses for months on end and severe lack of content after 4 months. I hear that game is getting better though, so feel free to head over there if you want to try something else.. their space combat pvp is pretty cool I hear. /shrug
