Interesting! What is he doing there? Hrm....My husband saw Yoshida at E3 today, so there's probably not going to be any news until next week. If he had drafted a Letter from the Producer before he left for E3, it should've been up by now. But nope. What's he doing there anyway? Is he working on another title besides FFXIV? IMO, he should be back at headquarters, churning out news as often as possible to keep players interested.

All Japanese people look identical maybe your cousin was wrong. :PMy husband saw Yoshida at E3 today, so there's probably not going to be any news until next week. If he is there and not 1. Promoting another game or 2. Doing an interview about this game, then he is doing a great job at ignoring us.
LOL he actually has no work at E3, he's just running away from us. No but really I wonder what he's actually doing there, I haven't heard anything FFXIV although there is one more day to go but I don't think day 3 brings much usually and I doubt he's promoting another game. Him ignoring us is the only logical choice.
Maybe he is promoting Dragon Quest Monsters 2 at E3 (i think he is the producer as well).
Maybe I can get one of the live cam guys on Gamespot to walk over and ask if he was there and what was he doing, >.> haha yeh they'll defiantly do it........
He's probably just gone to meet with partners, that's basically what our company use expo's for - easiest time to get everyone in one place at one time.
Other than that he could just be keeping up on industry news, who knows. He could give us an update from E3 though!
E3 isn't just for announcing stuff.
In fact, when I worked for an accessory company for 3 years (and went to 3 E3s, this is the first time in 4 years I haven't been to the expo myself) they were used to announce new products but, most importantly, business and sales meetings.
As someone already mentioned, E3 is where everyone is at the same time. You can see loads and loads of Walmart Sales reps or Gamestop associates. Surely they aren't there to announce new videogames.
Maybe the new development phase will take time like how Duke Nukem Forever took time...
I am always okay if you have to take more time to get things together, this is not the case however. Hiding this essential information for a long period of time has gotten to the point where people are being indecisive if they want to continue playing a game where developers do nothing but give vague statements on upcoming content.
We are in the month where you all have claimed that the version update will be put in, yet we barely have any information on what is going on. The small battle plans were nice, but extremely vague on the overall picture.
I wouldn't raise people's tension here any higher and at least give them something.
