Uh, hop on the test servers and test how many houses they can handle. And then make sure they can handle enough to accommodate all the people currently playing the game, at the very least. We're not goddamn beta testers. They're not some indie developer. This game is one of their biggest cash cows and they're a major game developer. They should have this crap all worked out. Or at least be relatively close to having it worked out when they release something. Obviously they weren't even remotely close or else they wouldn't have made the prices so prohibitively expensive to where there isn't a second instance of any ward, at least on my server. I'd assume the same goes for all legacy servers, and most non-legacy as well. For them to be so grossly unprepared for such a heavily advertised feature is outright shameful.

And Yoshi did say something along the lines that 3-5 people going 1-50 would be able to afford a house, and we heard no other info about pricing besides that till the day before the update. We were never once told that housing would be the most 'hardcore' thing in the entire game that the overwhelmingly vast majority of players wouldn't be able to experience until many months after the update that introduced it. Yet it was constantly being advertised in the live letters like it was something we all should be looking forward to. That is misleading.
