OMG, I can't believe I didn't pick up on that - in hindsight you're exactly right! So, by that thinking, if Hildy is Bartz, Nashu is Faris, and Ellie is Lenia, then, does that make the player.... Galuf?. O.O

Or maybe we take the role of Bartz. Hildebrand did temporarily lose his memory like Galuf did in FF5 and Bartz is an adventurer like us.

While I understand why it was done, I was a little disappointed to see her return to "dozing off sidekick", effectively reverting ANY growth she may have experienced over the past 5 years. Would have been nice for her to at least show some of the experience she's accumulated since the Calamity (I assume this wasn't the first case she's taken up, and would also assume she's attempted to solve other cases in the past).

Agreed. Nashu is just as much of a gentleman investigator as Hildebrand is. I say she keeps the suit.

Honestly, the whole thing was far too disjointed and abbreviated, IMO. But that's par for the course, I suppose. :-/

1) Find out who is behind the zombies
2) *Gasp* It's him!
3) We're on an investigation

thing just felt kinda sloppy. :-/

She may have changed outfits, but she's learned to mix explosives in her spare time. That's an awesome development.

Oh man, Hildibrand's whole storyline was awesome. I laughed so much, it was great to enjoy. Those facial expressions, the antics, so good. It was extremely saddening to realize that it was over so suddenly. ...But at least it will continue.

I liked the Hildibrand cutscenes. I think they should have been voiced though, with how much work was put into them.
