Crystal Tower is a waste of time.

Ran the instance 8 times. I ended up leading all 8 times because there were either really horrible players or first timers. Did not get a single loot for my Bard. Ended up needing to greed on something last night that I didn't want due to the reset today, but I still didn't win. Reasons why Crystal Tower is a waste of time:

1. There's a higher chance of not getting the piece of gear you want no matter how many times you run it in a week than there is that you'll get what you want.

2. It's not the best gear in the game, and honestly, you don't need it to progress through Coil since Coil is on a 1 week lockout. You can do turns 1 and 2 just fine in Dark Light gear. My party did it in AK gears.

3. It's extremely stressful to have to deal with the amount of shear idiocy in a 24 man group and come out with nothing over and over again.

make a pre-made party then with 3 party coordinating, use J since ur on Excalibur set the DF to J language only on 3 parties.

I've run this about 8 times now. Even the poor ones achieved wins in the end. As the week has gone on the groups have been better and better each time. I've used this time to hunt for gear pertaining to my alt BLM. It has been both fun and rewarding. Hardly a waste of time. PErhaps you should preface your entire point with "In my opinion."

I had more loot hit the floor than not in my groups it really isn't that hard to get a piece of gear. Getting the exact piece you want can be hard tho I understand.

Ran it three times with a couple of FC members, pugged the other 20. Got stuff for my DRG alt, wiped a few times, but it was fun. Would run again.

it should be at least i65 or i70 dungeon. seeing some people in AK gears are annoying me and they're so terrible, can't hide behind a comet even if it's for their lives. this dungeon is easier than Garuda HM and should be ok for the first timers unless you're a very bad first timer.

I really don't mind the wipes. If people don't get all emotional over it, everyone will try harder to get it right next time.

AK gear is iLv 60. That's more than enough for the difficulty of this dungeon. Expecting more is just elitist hogwash or hopeful dreams. It isn't necessary. If you do the fight mechanics properly it is plenty easy.

The same thing can be said about King Moogle or Ultima, really. The reward is not worth the time spent challenging the RNG (and finding a party capable of farming them).

I considered CT to be a pretty epic experience even though it wasn't especially difficult.
