1. The idea that you need to PvP to "earn" the tools for PvP
2. The idea that gear should play any material role in PvP
3. The idea that PvP must be some sort of arena-esport-ish fight

Gear. Gear matters too much in PVP. New players will have to suffer and constantly lose thousands of games just to be on even terms against people who have played since day1, regardless of skill.
Inability to swap skills at will in PVP. Discourages use of the armory system and forces me play a single character.
Skills. Another form of gear progression that causes new players to suffer and have to constantly lose thousands of games just to be on even terms with other people who have played more, regarldess of skill.
Materia giving reduction to CC, yet another form of gear progression that punishes new players. Team of new players eat CC for full duration, teams of fully geared players eat CC for 30-50% reduced duration. No amount of skill can overcome this.
If you agree with me and don't want gear advantages in PVP please like my thread:

1.) Eventually everything will be balanced around pvp
2.) PvP exists in a game that doesn't even have player factions at war with each other.
3.) Wah Wah Wah Wah Wah nerf nerf nerf nerf
1) Sleep
2) 30 seconds is too long for any debuff
3) I am tired of arena style pvp. WTB objective type PvP(capture the flag, king of the hill, etc...)
To compare with WoW, since what we got is just a basic arena, a large scale battleground with some PvE elements (like Alterac) would have been a better start than a very small scale & competitive battleground (arena).
3 reasons :
1. small battlegrounds need perfect balance whereas large ones allow some imbalances
2. small battlegrounds are not suited for random groups
3. SE has no sucessful experience in PvP and great one in PvE, why not make the way from one to the other more progressive
IMHO we have this just to calm down people that screamed for PvP since release, but it's nowhere near a decent PvP battleground and SE knows it.
1. SMN = OP
2. WHM = Crap
3. Netcode = lol
1. CATCH <insert ranged class here>!
2. I don't even want to say anything more.
Scrap this and just give me PvE, SE. This coming from a hardcore PvPer... except in this game that is.
PVP is my biggest drip with PVP.
Commendations.
If I play dps I only give it out to other dps.
If I play tank I only give it out to healers.
If I play healer I only give it out to tank.
Only if they should be getting a commendation.
There are always exceptions to the rules!
1. That it exists in the first place
2. That people in our static are not running content because they want to pvp
3. That people leave right after turn 1-4 goes down because they want to pvp.
About to be a lot of statics breaking up and a line dividing between the two types of players. PVP or PVE.
That's weird. Most people think this PvP sucks and isn't worth doing.1. That it exists in the first place
