The Truth About FC Housing (Since SE Refuses to Tell It.)

Alright, one last time as SE started a housing forum.
First, please stop complaining about prices. SE knows they are way to high. They set them there with the purpose of not letting FCs buy houses. In short, SE knows the prices are rediculous.

The real issue is that housing is simply not ready to release yet. Most likely, SE doesn't have the server capacity to allow every FC to have a house. So they instituted the prices as an artificial barrier. That way they could "release" the content without having to make it accessible. It also gives them essentially a closed beta as a few FCs will buy houses and test the systems.

To sum up: the housing situation has NOTHING to do with, RMT, gil sinks, or the economy. (Okay maybe together these things make up 5% of the total issue)

Yoshi-san, you CUSTOMERS are sick of being lied to. Please go back to being honest as that is what your good at.

Okay let's assume for a minute SE is being honest. That means that the current implementation is the best solution the entire team could come up with so solve the problem. Well, in less than 1 day HUNDREDS of players came up with better ways to solve the "problems" that SE couldnt. So that means that either SE lied about what the real issue is, or they are grossly incompetent. I am making the assumption that the entire staff is at least as smart as the average player who suggested thing such as 1 purchasable plot per FC, or using GC currency.
So that is why I belive they are being dishonest.

And you know this how? Have you witnessed first hand the housing system that isn't ready? There are a few FCs that have posted pictures their homes on reddit and they seem to have had no problems putting together a house.

Devs (uncluding Yoshi himself) have already commented on this. Most people don't like it but that doesn't the devs are lying or that there is some conspiracy.

Please understand that while we will be adding servers and expanding housing areas as soon as we can, it is simply physically impossible for us to accomplish this easily, in a matter of one or two weeks.

Also, just to hit this before someone comments on it: housing is casual content. Excuse me, entry level housing is casual content. So when people complain that they deserve access to it, they are right. FC should be able to easily access the small house. Medium and large ones should be more difficult to obtain, as they are more for large FCs and hardcore players.

What is that logic? Are you 12?
Prices were determined based on server group economies. Just because their housing is cheaper doesn't make it any more obtainable because there is much less gil in their economy.

Do we tell Vietnam vets their opinions about war don't matter because many more soldiers died in WWII? Only on the FFXIV forums can you find arguments like yours. You should be the one who goes away.
