That's pretty much exactly what I figured houses were for. To look at and show off and decorate and stuff.

Kinda the same concept as why people build stuff on Minecraft.

Airship... maybe a waste of time to elitists who only care about endgame. But... there are crafters who would find building one to be fun... even if it doesn't go anywhere or do anything.

Houses are missing one of the most critical functions any player is going to want: a retainer bell.

Currently, the only 'functional' items are the company chest and mailbox.

The "Airship" can be theoretically a city-to-city shortcut from the residence, but I already believe that we've established that Yoshi will promise ten things to get people excited, and only deliver one in a haphazard way.

It has been said already. Medium and Large houses have 3 floors (ground floor, first floor and basement)... Small houses are of the size of an inn room (plus the backyard). All of the houses have backyards and their sizes are relative to the house size.

Difference between medium and large size is just the size of the stories. Bigger floors for large.

Medium has 2 floors, large has 3 floors. Only large has a basement.

I'm super confused about housing. So only a free company can purchase a house? Individual players cant? Seems pretty lame to me, i wanted my own cottage I could decorate!

I agree, information is extremely lacking about a feature that has already shipped.

Looking at the housing zones, the ratio of sizes is 3 large, 7 medium, 20 small. To have size-exclusive content means SE is planning that 2/3 of even active, achieving customers (those whose FCs can afford an FC house) will miss out. That increases to 90% locked out if some content is only for large housing.

of medium and large got second floor and underground floor with different just size
small house is like a box.....maybe like a small room in hotel/motel
so i doubt small house will get future house function

The scaling on any size house is far out of line compared to the number of members and gil grinding effort it would take to get one, my son suggested that somehow the inside of houses will outsize the exteriors, ill believe that when I see it.

Hell for the original ballpark figures of 625mil for large plots on legacy servers, that kind of gil should get a plot the size of an entire "ward".

This patch should have never went live with housing attached, even at half the cost, the comments about server capacity from Yoshi suggest to me it will be a very looong time before questions like these are answered if at all.
