Lustrate has saved my butt in Copperbell HM, Hauke HM and Sirius. It's my only big burst heal, leave Scholars alone!!![]()
I got a question since I dont know : is benediction affected by healing debuffs ?
All of this. ^It would, but my point is that it'd be a fair thing to do, because -only- making debuffs apply is strictly maiming Lustrate for no good reason other than "but my WHM can't do it so it's not fair!"
Different classes have different strengths, it's supposed to work this way. "Can I get a sleep for PvP? No? But WHMs have one! I think theirs should just be taken away then!" This is the kind of argument OP presents for Lustrate nerf.
That said I do believe that WHM certainly deserves a few QoL improvements. I believe the Medica II change should be reversed and that they deserve better MP management. I also think Benediction should have a much lower CD. Improving the WHM relative to SCH does -not- require cutting SCH's legs off. That's the wrong way to go about it.
Lustrate being affected by healing buffs makes sense with it also being affected by healing debuffs. I believe this would fix the brokenness using lustrate to cheese your way through healing debuffs without scholars feeling like they're having something precious removed.
Really lol? wow, lame petition lmao. Just fail.
Lustrate is fine as it is, it's not that big of a heal and it consumes one stack of aetherflow as well, so it's limited cast.
No reason you should be having that many troubles as WHM, get a new group, or learn to heal.
The healing debuff in Pharos Sirius is interruptable. So yeah....
No, 100% full heal. If it actually goes off in time.
I don't have a sch but I can say I'm 100% ok with Lustrate as is. If a debuff happens to the tank then sch can heal the tank through debuff while I focus on keeping the rest of the group healed. Just throw some stone skins out if the group is OK. Usually works out just fine.

Cheese through healing debuffs? lol? The only non-cleansable healing debuff that I can think of off the top of my head is the one Twintania does, otherwise good scholars don't waste their lustrate and just cleanse the debuff while the pet is casting Embrace to top whomever they're cleansing off.Lustrate being affected by healing buffs makes sense with it also being affected by healing debuffs. Reading your responses throughout this thread makes me think its more of a player issue than a balance one.
Pretty sure they gave us esuna. An AOE esuna might be nice, especially if AOE debuffs are going to be a trend. The only problem I had healing Siren was getting stuck having to heal while crawler was coming for me and no one takes it out. Other than that, I just have to be on my feet, and I kind of like that.
EDIT: for cure III plug.
No, it doesn't. Lustrate is the Scholar's sole form of burst healing, and it's on a 1 min CD. White Mages also have their own heal that ignores healing debuffs - Benediction. And while it's on a 5 min CD, we have plenty of other sources of burst healing.
No, thank you.Just give scholar 18% stoneskin, change white mage stoneskin to improved casting speed, and make benediction/lustrate to be affected by healing debuffs.
You have this button called "Esuna." Amazingly, it helps with these things. You might try pressing it occasionally. Just to see what happens, you know.I'm tired of wanting to table flip my computer every time I run into a healing debuff and I chose to come on white mage.
