They straight up admitted the changes were an error, and shouldn't of been made. I don't see why players should be punished and be put at a disadvantage for a mistake SE made.
youre talking about them refunding tomes because, essentially, you dont like the way your boots look? I think youre being a little dramatic, and asking for too much. I mean this in the nicest way possible, but I dont think you understand what youre asking for exactly, or at least you dont understand the breadth of it's impact if it were to happen. If you need to, just get the new boots. In two weeks youll have your tomes back from doing random content. There are better things than this for you and the company to invest energy into.

This was posted in Japanese and a lot of people knew they were reversing the change hours after the patch notes were released and before the patch even went live.
I know not everyone follows these things and they never officially announced it on the English side, but the information was around.

No. I want my tomes refunded because they're essentially a waste now. The mythology boots will never be used, as they have IDENTICAL stats to the Allagan ones. The only reason I bought Mytho boots was to get the stats back. Now 2 days after the change the stats are being reverted.
I don't read Japanese nor use Reddit. These changes were only made known to English players through official channels last night. This was posted in Japanese and a lot of people knew they were reversing the change hours after the patch notes were released and before the patch even went live.

I knew about it from these very forums, in English, prior to 2.1 going live.
And if I hadn't? I would have waited, not immediately went and bought something.
Again, official channels. I rarely use the forums unless I need too. Hopefully noticeable by half my posts now being in this thread.
There was no mention of this in-game, nor on Lodestone, nor via a Dev Tracker post until last night, at least not in English.
And I didn't have the luxury of waiting for a revert, I personally thought was pretty unlikely, I mean the changes made sense, having gear with the same stats made little sense, so I went ahead and bought them as I needed the accuracy to go through Coil this week.
I don't use reddit either, but I mean the forums here were talking about it.
I don't think your mistake is unreasonable though. I didn't mean for it to come across as such.
They definitely should have announced it to English players officially.
Well then, problem solved, this will only be an issue for you for about 6 months then because they will release new content that will provide better gear and loot than what you have now. The new loot will most likely be acquired by another type of tome. Also, why didn't you wait a little bit before buying them? There's a difference between NEW gear being added and CURRENT gear being changed.Well then, problem solved, this will only be an issue for you for about 6 months then because they will release new content that will provide better gear and loot than what you have now. Why I didn't wait? I explained this above. I needed the accuracy from the boots to complete Coil with my group this week and there was no reason to expect a revert so rapidly.
