It was an estimate but the cold reality is that other people saved more than you. Your 2.5 million won't be enough because initial supply is low. You won't be able to buy a doghouse in the first round. So to give you a shot SE developed a diminishing lottery so all the plots aren't gobbled up right away, but it requires people to wait and people here are very impatient.

People are impatient because they were mislead (and even then, I would hardly call expecting to be able to get a bare minimum house after you've saved for three months or more impatient). I'm not sure if maybe you missed the part where people literally wouldn't have been able to save up because assuming Yoshi had come out and said "Housing will be 4 million minimum, with most servers needing 8 million and up".. people would have then saved that much, and the starting price would have been bumped even further. The entire situation is a combination of having facts hidden from the community, and SE just not having the server capacity (apparently) to hold FC houses for everyone. In the later case it should not ever have been advertised as a feature that everyone would get to take part in, much less that it would be something everyone could take part of for a largely cheap cost. I do not buy into the whole "you guys shouldn't be upset" mentality given the antics of SE. People are rightly upset because they've been mislead.

but at the end were all paying the same subscription costs , so we should have more equal chances on getting a house , its not about not having saved enough before patch and wanting it immediately , but not being able to save enough even in future at all

So? It's an open market. Just because I pay a subscription doesn't mean I'm entitled to FC housing. The individual market is 6 months away and Yoshi said it will be much cheaper. With increased supply prices will come down, it just a matter of when. I can wait.

good that you arent in charge of the game , but if SE keeps thinking the same that im not entitled to get a chance for all game features in a subscription based model game, i may find myself paying for other services sooner than the 6 months you mention , just saying ... theres one major MMORPG coming 2014 we all know which im talking about , its not about a stupid house but the whole principle of it

Oh you do have a chance concurrent with all the other 100+ member FCs out there. It's just not a big one, hence the need for high prices and depreciating lottery so your FC has a shot down the road after the bigger FCs get theirs.

honestly at the current terms i dont want such house, nobody can expect all the clanmates to invest all their gil into something such as a house , i was fine without one and will be now too , what makes me upset that something that was hyped so much as new game feature and indeed could be a nice social side-activity added to the primary game - has become something that is out of reach

and what if you contribute all your gil and get kicked out of a FC ? you gotta farm gil for 6 months again to get access into a house ? sorry this is a joke

im happy for you and your FC that you can afford it , let me know if it was worth all the gil once you get your house
