Its not like people haven't been saving the last three months or anything...

right, our FC managed to save a little over 6 million, but that's a one shot deal, we poured our entire individual fortunes in there and there's none left. These amounts are not sustainable anymore, it's not something we actually earned or can expect to earn in 3 months' time, our company's actual monthly earnings are closer to 500k . I myself give 2/3rd of everything I have to the Chest, but I can't expect all my members will do the same, some will only give 1/10th of their earnings or nothing at all. most of our members are hovering around a personal fortune of 300k, it's not like we're all magically 10 times richer or earn 10 times more because our server is called Masamune

we've been keeping a spreadsheet to track our savings and our company charter accounts for compensating the financial efforts going into housing, we're serious about this, but it's just out of reach for a FC of our size.

I don't know if it was been noted yet, but I saw people mentions the 14% every six hours. this is a mistake, it is actually 0.14% every six hours.

on the EN legacy servers, from a 50 active member guild, it will take roughly a 3 million donation from each player to afford the best house, at the 90 day reduced price of 148 million.

When there is no actual content that supports more than 8 players except for housing, and that you need a lot of members to contribute that a single house to lower the burden of others
is that enough to justify for everyone to enter into a big FC just to contribute shitload of gil for a FC house?

If it is the RMT that is the main issue about the set housing prices, is it than not a possibility to filter most of them out by allowing only for example Rank 5 FC with a set amount of FC points purchase the land? How many RMT's actually make FC and have say 1 million FC points?.

I'm curious to see how well they implemented the system to begin with, and how they are going to support those that bother to even buy it (dealing with loiterers, squatters, spammers, etc). Something tells me the system won't be worth dealing with until after the next couple of patches anyways.

In all seriousness, I think the LARGE plot pricing is fair, even for legacy servers, as they aren't meant for everyone to be able to obtain. 300 million gil may seem like an astronomical amount of gil for you and I, but it's definately achieveable, especially when individual ppl have 100 mil+ on those servers. I'm on a non-legacy tier IV server, and I can safely say 100mil gil is definately obtainable by a large FC for the first class large plot.

I can't agree with the small plot pricing though. I know a few ppl that are in small FCs that were saving for a humble small house, and they won't be able to afford it, and would take them months to save enough, as they are just casual players. I think the worst plots should be closer to 2-3mil. This game has alot of content that caters to casuals, so it should at least make the housing content cater to them aswell. Like I said above, the large housing price is fine, as it can cater to the hardcore players/large FCs.

I agree...this needs to be changed. First of all the housing does not even give us anything necessary to the game...yet. Why does it have to be so damn expensive??? Me and my FC busted our asses to save up money and thought we would be able to get the largest plot of land just to find out...no way in hell. Very disappointing to find this out. Come on SE.

That's my point. It's not like everyone is starting at 0, people have some money saved up. It shouldn't take too long for people to get a house, even if they have to wait a bit.

To answer your question- I don't think the new players saved up that amount.
Although, I know some Legacy players have even more gil than 40mil left over from 1.0.

While it is expensive, it should not be too much of a problem if everyone works together. ^^

This sounds reasonably fair. Not everyone should be going for the largest plot anyway.
