Can you list out what's challenging about this content? What boss do I have to kill that'll take the combined strength of at least 370 people in order to prove my worth to obtain a license to live in a city state?

You and I haven't always seen eye to eye but I'll explain as I have before in other threads. I think we can both agree on this explanation. The original poster knows that it isn't a challenge nor is it difficult. The original poster wants it to be a massive grind because they have the time to play 24/7. This means that for once in their lives they can be part of an exclusive club. Why is this a big deal? Simply because if it wasn't a grind and if it was actually difficult or challenging it would be beyond them. In short this person doesn't want it to be part of some "real" challenge but instead part of some easy to fulfill task that just takes up a lot of time.
Which real estate dealer did you have to kill to get your last house. (i have a feeling you're not intelligent enough to get this so i'm going to elaborate in advance. It makes sense to buy housing with gil and not kill something or finish a dungeon to get FC housing directly). Challenge isn't just about killing a boss or finishing a dungeon. It can also be teamwork and trust to gather the gil to buy an FC housing which everyone can share. The reason why everyone is whining is because they/we are all selfish inside.
I wish people would just admit that they're a selfish bean and they don't want to donate to the FC so price should be decreased so only a few key members have to donate and the rest can enjoy it without spending a cent.
Oh, also FC leaders that just ask/demand for donations without ever offering anything back to his people are not going to be getting a lot of donations.

patient and consistent are the challenges, and many people fail at it irl.
I think you need to learn the variations that "challenge" connotes. It doesn't have to have anything to do with "difficulty" (which of itself, is also subjective). Time and monotonous actions can also be a "challenge" on the individual level to upkeep (group or solo).
In promoting a game to those who might not like the term? Not at all desirable. To the neutral mind though? Especially if they're accustomed to MMORPGs, it shouldn't affect much at all.
You might be playing the wrong genre if monotony is something that is foolish to you. Practically everything about an MMO deals in monotony. Same old same old. It's all perspective of course in how fun it is, but what you're actually doing is the literal act of monotony. I typically like monotony, it's comfortable. So MMORPGs are perfectly fine with me. Heck, many things in life we do for fun is monotonous. It just depends on how much you like it. And of course, what that monotonous act rewards for us (that pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, sort of thing).

Not everything is killing bosses in this game, you want a challenge, tell your FC to give lots of their gil for the FC house, not enough gil WORK FOR IT, do something to earn your house!
I hate how people expect this big luxury houses to be worth 1-2 millions...
Want cheap houses? can you see the lot of people complaining about how easy is to get a house? and that everyone has a house like them?...you people are just like GIVE ME GIVE ME GIVE ME GIVE and then "oh its too easy we want harder things" but then they are like "omg this is too hard"...
They . . . are actually too easy to get . . . I think that in addition to Gil, houses should also be earned by achievements, reputation and progression combined, and then the Gil on top of that. Gil shouldn;t buy everything. Gil is WAY too easy to get in this game. I like the pricing structure . . . it actually enhances the Gil sink so that some of this CRAZY amount of Gil in the economy gets back out of circulation. There's too much generated already.Not everything is killing bosses in this game, you want a challenge, tell your FC to give lots of their gil for the FC house, not enough gil WORK FOR IT, do something to earn your house!

There I made a "too easy" complaintActually I was starting to troll, but now that I typed that it makes sense and I think it would be a kick ass system . . .
* Earn reputation requirement.
* Earn rank.
* Earn commendations requirement
* THEN Take the insane amount of Gil you just made while doing these achievements and buy your piece of land.
BOTH sides of this silly argument are doing the whole "It's too hard . . . it's too easy" argument. There . . . a hybrid solution.because instead of whining I'd rather make a constructive suggestion based on everyone's statements in the thread.
