People still expect to get everything handed to them and want the best and biggest housing on day one. Just settle with something you can actually afford, then work for to get something better.

Even if you accept the explanation given, it still doesn't make sense because nobody wants to wait 3 months to check out content that's supposed to be available now.

If they wanted us to wait 3 more months, why not just release it in the next patch instead of this one?

Why does the amount matter? Old servers obviously have different economies and more money in circulation. Yes, it still sucks for legacy players. But on newer servers even First-Class plots for small houses will be 8-10m. Thats still very much affordable for most guilds.

If it seems more affortable on the smaller/newer worlds, that's a clear indication that the cost on the more expensive worlds is disporportionately high.

This kind of fallacy is called a "strawman" -- the premise of your rhetorical construct is an exaggeration of my statement that is easier for you to deconstruct. In doing so, you fail to make any meaningful contribution to the conversation -- you are arguing against a point that wasn't made, in essence, talking to yourself.

Here's a hint, massive gilsinks are not an inflationary force on the economy.

Actually, it's a way to kickstart the economy.
Everyone will try to gather, but that will drive the prices down too low. So people will try to make gold with crafting.
It will either be furniture or things that other crafters need or even end products which will see a new surge due to the patch release.
The gathering prices will then go back up to some extent and the economy will start running much better than it did before when gil wasn't really a thing.
Furniture will be in high demand for the people actually able to afford the housing.

This won't work for legacy so much, of course. But all the other servers may actually have a more functional economy than it did before the patch.

So basically this is how I translate what Yoshi said:
We failed to properly test our new content, and instead of pushing the patch back for a 3rd time (and CT for a 4th time as it was supposed to be ready at launch) we decided to release the content. To ensure we can stress test it, we will simply hike prices up to a point where no one can reasonably afford it until 3 months from now. That way we can "say" it is available without actually having to make it available. Once we actually have it ready, we can drop prices and "actually make it avialable."
Common Yoshi, do you really expect players to wait another 3 months for the main content of this patch???

lower the price make the land costs and size the same and have the ability to change the house size and the higher price e.g. i buy a bit of land i put a cardboard box on it then when I've got more money i can buy a house then a bigger 1 etc too a certain size then its the interior that is the diff between really rich and farming guilds ..give ppl and all fc's something to work for thats actually with in reach
