Not Real Life so why ARE The housing Prices so Insane? Subbing to this is horrible.

Like I said in another topic, from comments made before, it seems like they really want to limit the number of people/FCs that actually get houses so they don't run into a situation where they have to upgrade their data centers. :-\

it's pricing for "rich" servers that is insane. we probably just have more botters and normal players are forced to pay more because of them.

Thats what happens when they just look at how much money is moving on a server without taking into account how many players are moving those insane amounts of money.
The gap between rich and poor people is higher due to the people coming from 1.0 with all crafts to 50 and playing the marketboard game since day one. The flow of money is higher due to that, but that screws new players or poor people way more hard than on a non-legacy server.

Stop being so bloody dramatic. God forbid you actually have to save up and get something past release day. My FC thought we were doing good with 10 million gil and now we have to pay 100million, disappointing yes, but you know what, its not the end of the damn world. Continue saving and you'll eventually get a house. SE said instances can fill up, but they also said more instances can/will be added as needed. Housing is intended as a long term investment, in a game where everything is instant gratification its something that was badly needed.

Edit: Yes, I agree, prices on Legacy servers are insane and stupid. In this case however, 10 million is not the dream crush OP is making it out to be. I'd be more upset about the 625 million price tags.

Sadly i'm in the same situation as you are. I'm in a 4 man FC and we all wanted to get ourselfs a big company house for all of us - saved up to 10 million gil alone for that. We can't even buy anything with that. Nothing.

Ha. So much for that. Now they're even thinking about quitting the game. I really don't know what i'm supposed to do here.
