Yeah, I'm mad about the boots change, but you know what we get 450 myth a week, we're gearing up faster it's not the end of the world IMO. Black Mages are still gonna be used for Burst/AoE, summoners are still gonna be preferred for single target bosses, Bards are going to be wanted for support.

The problem isn't there.

Instead of changing the BLM's boots who has the exact same stats as the allagan one... they changed the allagan one which WERE way better for the SMN that the mytho one. They're giving more options to BLM and forcing SMN to buy the mytho one... that is just plain wrong.

Regardless, we have lost Blizzard II due to it's potency getting halved which is a big part of our Flare rotation.
I wonder if Flare is even viable now since Transposing is going to have a greater effect on the speed of the AoE rotation.

I take this back after looking at changes to Freeze.
Quoting myself from another thread -

It now does the old Blizzard II damage, is 0.5 seconds longer and does cost a good bit more mana (but still only one tick of Umbral I regen).
Bam! A new Blizzard II (unique to BLM, since Blizz II is cross classed now) and only 0.5 seconds longer.
We also got a nice bind included in it.

Yeah, the ACTUAL allagan ones do that. After the patch we will have to take a worse item than the pre-nerf allagan ones.

The BLM will still have access to the better ones. How can you not see the problem ?

Why didn't they just make an other pair of allagan boots (and all the other allagan) to give BLM/x Job more choice ?

It is a terrible decision made by Square Enix. It is a really bad and pathetic one.
