You'd lose the benefit of sharing the philo tomes to get darklight gear by doing speed runs on a better geared character.

You can't trade items or money to yourself without moving things through another person.

You would also have to relevel multiple classes on the other character to play the class effectively.
You usually need skills from at least two other classes to play a job to it's full potential. So you're looking at leveling to at least level 30 a total of 27 times if you wanted to play every job on their own character.

Just play a new class, with a new character. You can effectively gear up an alt, there isn't a need to redo every other class on multiple characters. And yes you can trade to your own account, it involves having friends. Also speed runs are a joke, especially at this point. Again, having friends solves this problem. You're looking at this game like it's a life sink, it isn't.

I already said 'without moving things through another person'. I'm well aware friends can trade vanya. That's as far as it goes, since you can't trade the dl/allagan you already have between a shared stash. I wouldn't torture my friends by making them run WP with a fresh 50 in AF gear. I've already leveled up most classes I want to play, but can only focus on one until it's completely done or someone in my FC is done with gearing their main jobs.

It sounds like you think I want level up all 8 classes on each character, which is not what I meant at all. I meant leveling up for cross skills, as many players will not allow you to raid without them.

I don't think it's a life sink, and don't want it to be.
I'm just a little tired of playing for two hours and being done with trying to progress until the next week for all of my classes.
I was going to just use CT to catch up alts, but now I still have to decide which class gets a single piece each week. It's extremely disappointing.

I don't understand why anyone would sub to a game they don't play at least a few hours a week. It's great that you don't want to play the game anywhere near it's full extent and all, but there are many players who would like to actually make use of the ability to level multiple classes on a single character.

@indira- just go on the job that's capped already, then. It'd be the same as running things now after getting your tomes.
If it becomes a frequent problem, don't run things without your FC on that job.
How would giving people a reason to run content demotivate those with only one 50 and ruin FC plans?
There's enough gil sinks as is, we don't need gil spammers shouting they'll pay for your run entry items.
