to the OP. it seems that you make a new complaint/QQ thread like everyday, just saying.........
I agree with cairdeas, him and at times find ourselves on different sides of a debate but him nor I have ever trolle or griefed each other online. We share seperate views sometime and sometimes agree.
I would not call him a white knight though. he presents his ideas and discusses them. I still disagree with some of your thought on rdm though :P
that was an interesting discussion.
Anyways when working on any project
the team needs priorities to get from start to finish.
You need to asses what needs to be done, and what within that job is most important and then consider time as well.
Any project being worked on you have to figure the cost of the project, and managing it as well. No matter how much we the community groan about things development has schedules and priorities and there is nothing we can do, until the thing we want becomes a priority.
His point is that some people prefer to have core things such as jumping, in game graphic settings, and such before any of the content, like dungeons is released. That's all. He didn't realize that without content at this point no one will keep playing. I know he is wrong, but in a perfect world, we would have all of this before they started to give us content. No he don't have. It's just bitching on thing he don't have a clue. Why SE should even bother to give high priority to battle system, it's just a core mechanism ! Better focus on jumping, so everyone could be happier.
And btw, mount system IS a priority. Look yoshi's last letter, chocobos and more is coming this summer, not TBA

This is a classic flawed logic that is often summed up in the idea that one woman can have a baby in nine months. Therefore, nine women should be able to pull this off in a month...right? Throwing more people at a problem will not always solve it faster.
SE is working on multiple things at once, they do have different teams. The thing is, they are working on more important things than Jumping (please, please SE never implement this), or Mounts (we already have instant teleportation to damn near anywhere you have ever been) and neither of these have ever been an issue for me (and I am sure that many people feel the same). Instead they are working on things that are more important, such as content, core combat features, and class/job functionality. They are prioritising the things that matter because no matter how many teams you assign the project, there will always be features that are less important than others so need to be pushed aside for the ones that will make or break the game.

Well on one hand I dont think OP complaints are pretty valid, since jumping really isnt something that you'd just toss in the game (especially since this one is motion captured) since they most likely want to have a valid reason for it to be in game rather than just "I want to jump". On the other hand, chocobos should be in game, at least as a standard ride, and then work later on what else they can do.
Why? For the simple fact that even though you can teleport to any aetheryte or gate, there are still big expanses of land you have to cross to get to out of the way areas that may not be anywhere near an aetheryte. Also, some locations have really huge distances between one another, so a chocobo would be really handy going from point to point, much like telepoint traveling in Final Fantasy XI.
Battle and other general ground level foundation revamps, rehauls, and adjusments are the most important things to fix at the moment though...so I can stand not riding for a little while longer...but after the initial adjustments are in, they really do need to get on chocobos and airships asap.

Want in one hand and shit in the other, see which one fills up first.
