If melee are getting hit by cone your group is positioning things terribly wrong. Pacman Ballista Ballast can be disabled in favor of Firestream, which is even easier to dodge, and a lot of groups do that. Gravity Field is also disabled using the same route as disabling Ballast, in favor of Chain Lightning which only hits the tank and is very easy to manage. However, both of those things are still very easy to manage: Ballast is telegraphed, giving you tons of time to dodge it, and Gravity Field is no worse for melee than it is for ranged who have to reposition without getting too close to someone else and messing up rot. Lastly, dodging Repelling Cannons is a joke.
