    1. Changing the roll system doesn't have an effect on the drop rate. Doesn't matter what your luck with roles are if the item never drops.
    2. It's exploitable, people would run old content in an attempt to stack points for use with the one good item they want, which would ruin the whole point of the system.

    But if you get the OP suggestion is also explorable. You can run coil multiple times, never get, lets say chest piece, and after 2-3 run just go to the NPC and buy it with the tomes from the items you have been passing/greeding...
    Also i didnt mentioned on my previous post, but the bonus would suit only for coil... so its wouldnt be exploitable like you said.

    We've had 3 drops in 2 weeks in T1. Random drops are random.

    Anyway, the whole point of the tomestone system is to fill in the gaps from gear that drop from the highest raid tier at the time. If you have crap luck in Coil you can always buy the Myth stuff. That's why it's there.

    You already have this type of 'wellfare epics' system. It's called myth. You get it every week in place of what you ain't getting from coil. And people are still wanting welfare benefits? lol in a way, this is just like real life.

    I honestly don't see a reason to change things. Loot isn't guaranteed, simple as that. The token system works just fine for getting you geared, and law of averages says you'll end up with some of the loot sooner or later.

    Better yet, why don't they add a loot preference screen everyone can open in the dungeon that is applies before each boss that drops gear and on that screen you put check boxes next to the gear you would like to see drop.

    Then it calculates percentages based on peoples preference settings.

    So if the whm wants the gloves to drop, and the sch want's the gloves to drop, and the tanks want the neckalce and chest to drop, and the dps wants some ring to drop. Then the gloves would have a 40% chance to drop, the necklace would have a 20% change to drop, the chest 20% chance, and the ring 20% chance.

    For all the smartarses saying "we already have that" you clearly didn't read the thread.

    Yes, you can exchange tomestones for DL and AF2 gear, but with Coil (which is what OP was talking about) it is just luck of the draw. I've only done T1 and T2 so far, but each time I've completed there hasn't even been a healing item drop. I don't see the problem with letting someone who has beaten the dungeon many times not get the reward at some point down the line.
